I'm running on a Wired Router at Broadband speed. Everytime I join a server it runs fine the first few minutes. Then after a while it sais "There is a problem with your connection". It doesn't matter if my ping is very low it still happens. My Router is connected to 2 PC's and my ISP is Comcast. The speed of my connection is T1+. I don't know why it keeps kicking me off and I can't even enjoy this game. I updated my router's firmware and scanned for viruses/spyware. Everything seems normal but I always lose connection. I always reset my Modem and Router to see if it can refresh and not disconnect but that doesn't work either.

Router: D-Link EBR-2310
Modem: Arris Touchstone Broadband Modem

I have also tried using programs to keep my connection alive, it still doesn't work.

Yeah I downloaded and installed the 1.4 patch yesterday, didn't fix the problem. I'll try to epdate PB right now.

firewall perhaps, or you should shut off av.

Whats AV and how do I turn it off?

Well I updated PB, turned off Fire Wall. And it still disconnects after a few mins. I love this game...

Oh well, I guess I should just delete this game. Pretty unstable gameplay for a full Multiplayer game. Never buying an EA game again.

Nice.

Don't leave AV in the background scanning unless you suck at the internet. If you have a suspect file you downloaded, scan it, and do a nice full scan once a week-or-so, but for cripes sake don't let it use up resources to scan EVERYTHING.

Don't set for T1 in the options screen, set it on cable.

I have this problem too. I have isolated it to the comcast modem that is causing the problem. It sits there sending packets when it should be idle and that seems to cause random connection problems. Someone who lives near me has a verizon wireless network running and I connected to that as a test. Even though the signal is very weak giving a fairly low bandwodth, I can play with no problems on that. I have not solved it yet but I am pretty sure the Comcast modem was not setup completly and it is constantly pinging the network looking to complete the setup.

aalso, when u update PB, put the pbsetup in ur pb folder in the bf2 directory, idk if it really works, but it seemed to fix the prob for me
