I'm a newb in need...

I want to get training for Crysis, what game should I be playing if I want to learn how the controls are and how it plays? Does it have a parent like BF2 has BFV which has BF1942? I here Farcry is a good start but is this right? Just thought Id check :p

Yeah, FarCry is the predecessor of Crysis, so you could play that to get an overall feel of the game's setting, feel and storyline.
Although the multiplayer (and SP, in lesser extent) are going to be VERY different from Far Cry. Considering what I've heard so far about the new modes, I'd recommend BF2 to get used to vehicles and large enemy counts/large playing fields (bf2142 is also an option, but the vehicle controls are dumbed waaaay down), and maybe C&C renegade or CS:S to get used to having to buy weapons/assets, and how that should affect your tactics.
I, personally, would go for CS:S, since it also teaches you to aim real fast and accurate, but I thought I'd just put Renegade in there out of respect. It was supposed to be what Crysis is going to be now. ;)

I would say the same sort of thing. Battlefield 2 CS:S and Far Cry you get vehicle based, fast paced action, and objective based gameplay from all 3. Just play games! That's the best way to get good. I find that just by playing I can move to a new game and pick it up relatively quickly.

Oh thats ok then :) I played BF2 since day -1 and Renegade for about 5-6 years now I think, I'm a seriously heavy veteran of both, I'll have to play FarCry to get used to that though :p demo will be ok won't it.

Cheers :D

Yeah the demo will be ok. I played it (but don't have the full game) and feel as if its the same type of environment and action as in Crysis. That should be good practice.
