Just want to see if you would create an account with fees just for the beta.

No way, people are paid to beta test, its a job. So for those of you who do not wish to assist Crytek and just want to get your hands on it early then 'shame on you'. You should only volunteer to beta test if you are willing to help and thoroughly test the whole game and submit reports to Crytek. Its amazing how many people thing beta testing is just laying the game. It can get very very teadios sometimes... Trust me. Although it pays off at the end of the day if you do your job right.

Well, that's pretty much what I was thinking. Some people will do anything just to get the game first and won't even help the devs when they get the beta. I will just wait and buy the full game if I have to pay for the beta, if not I will play it, enjoy it, and most importantly give feedback.

Thanks for the feedback, keep voting! :) :) :)

That would be like paying someone to play battlefield 2 now lol. To many bugs Crysis is still to far off

lol. I hate them after the 2142 beta being for paying members. But I have to admit their servers are pretty fast.

Well, yeah that's true. It would be better to download slower than to wait. You will probobly finish faster. :)

You have an account? No disrespect to those that have it. I just want to say why pay when you can get the same thing a couple of days later for free? I would never sign up for those kinds of sites :) And originally I was talking about not having an account and getting it just for the game, I wasn't saying those that have accounts are idiots.

Yeah I left it on for bf2142 one overnight. I guess if I'd got it from another mirror it would be downloaded 2x as fast...

I don't have an account, i have a stupid friend who does and doesnt know that i know his password. :) And its all relevant if the beta was ONLY being released to paying members and it wasnt going public for a few months, i might pay like 5 bucks for it. But definately not 20 a month or something like that. If theres any way that i can do a beta in which i actually get to report stuff to the developers i would take that offer up. if its a "beta" that people just play and delete when they get borred i would definately not pay for that.

I hate it when it's that slow. And sometimes I wake up in the morning and see that it's either not done or gave me an error.

Its kind of a big jumble isnt it. I meant that betas are good when the user actually reports problems to the company. Most betas nowadays are just people dling it to play not to test.

I'll be honest, I would pay.
I've always been an inpatient person, so why would I want to wait to get my hands on one of the best looking games ever? :)

Because it will be buggy as hell and you can probably only run it on low because else it crashes everytime?;)

thats not a far cry from any other EA game i play (see what i did there? oh nevermind  )

but tbh, i haven't voted because there was no price estimate and money would be only issue
atm i'd defo be up for beta testing because i'm off work for 10 weeks recovering from an operation
and truly without trying to have a dig at EA too badly, it feels as if I *am* beta testing 2142 still, the amount of comments i leave on the 2142 forums with tech details etc.

i'd also be only too pleased to be reporting everything i found, i think it'd give me a sense of having been helpful in the creation of a masterpiece in some small way

It's the EA way. Make consumers buy a product at full price and THEN make them test it. Don't like hire actual testers or recruit volunteers. No way!

Poo.. If it actually had to cost money.. I'd probably hack it or something...

how do you hack a mp beta? I think that's impossible (i know, i know nothing is impossible :) )

If you can hack it first you might get mp. But no more hack talk!
