2/3 ccd HD camera (guessing) + additional video compression + Jpeg compression = that pic

I think it's a good pic. At least it shows we won't have the grey puffs of smoke like BF.

On this screen its not the quality that counts, here you see on of the key aspects of the game. In a normal shooter, you see an enemy, he's runing behind a building. What do you do? Go right or left(x+y), in crysis you have an additional z, you can jump on houses, bypass your enemy or just suprise him, he wont see it coming. ;)

As already said, its a screenshot from a video, that's why the quality isn't that good.

wouldnt that mean that the pic would show the typical graphics one would experience in the game?

In theory, yes, if precautions are taken to avoid severe quality loss in the image, but you have to take in consideration of the compression quality as I mentioned before. This is a video, compressed to a web deliverable video format, compressed again into some jpeg compression, and lets not even bother wondering how the video was taken, which is a factor for the starting quality, being obtained via Fraps or recorded with a camera off the screen. Color information is lost along with more artifacting inherent from several generations of compression. Video compression and 3d rendering are two very different things.
