OK new update. We just got a new 64 player PR server up and running yesterday. Standard spawn times and spawn attrition are in effect in AAS mode. The server runs EJOD Desert and Jabal Al-Burj 24/7. Two rounds of each with team switch at the end of each round. The server is also set up with ABR and VOIP. We're always looking for feedback so try us out and tell us what you think.

Is your server running AAS?
Some servers dont run them and it doesn't turn out too well :p
Also, Im not too sure about the shortening spawn times, there is a reason they are long you know ;)

i played on last nite.... it lasted a whole 5 minutes... as soon as i died and say spawn at 10 seconds.... i thoguht to myself NOOB SERVER and left...
i mean to each their own, but you wont find alot of realism players interesting in a 10 second spawn.
and it makes the medic class totally useless.. and when (if) the server ever gets a decent crowd, expect rampant spawnkilling and dying from a spawner shooting you in the back...

Not sure what that is, I don't do that stuff. I can check though.

Irrespective of your nonconstructive criticism, we are taking that under advisement. We're trying different things to see what works. One of the most common complaints about this game is the lengthy spawn times. I don't mind the initial spawn time myself but I do find the additional time added on per death is annoying.

sorry grenadier but it just frustrating to see servers with these kinds of spawn times...
yea you can set it so it doesnt give you additional seconds with deaths.
id recommend at least 30 seconds, although i think it plays best with 40 seconds...
if your working together, your medic will get to you majority of the time..

No problem fuzz, I see you in game all the time. I think our guy Ratbastard was in your squad the other day. We're trying to get a hold of our guy who sets that stuff because he understands it. We'll probably put it back to 30. I've seen others at 25 too i think. I absolutely hate the added time per death. having played alot more than I and talking to other players, would eliminating the added time be acceptable to players or should that be left on?
the settings in CC aren't clear because they're not the same for BF2 but the numbers to set are based on that. I think he lowered it not knowing exactly how much they'd be lowered. I'm guessing within the next day or so it'll be back to 25 or 30. We do appreciate the input. If people don't tell us what's wrong we can't fix it.
BTW I'd prefer 25 seconds, I can get back in action 5 seconds sooner.
OK I was just on the server. The spawns are back at 30 seconds with the add on for death time and it is in AAS mode.

nice grenadier! try out the 30 seconds in a great squad, most of the time your medic will revive you and there is no worries!!
also if you disable the add-on time of 1 second per death, i dont think most players would mind at all, and it would set your server apart as a bit faster paced.... but please dont drop the spawn time down too low it really does not help teamwork IMO
