Basically to my untrained eye, they look very similar EXCEPT for the lighting in dx10 is MUCH better. Not only the light beams but off in the distance it is much more realistic looking. With the hunter ifor the hunters it seems like the soke is much more dynamic and better looking. BTW thanks a ton for finding this video I'd never seen it. Either way this games makes me hot.

Yeah, just for kicks I played the video my mom's tv. She could see the differences overall between the two examples in the Jungle Demonstration. Lighting, particles, and a seemingly needed to be toned down motion blur (these videos were from an earlier build so that's probably been taken care of from the looks of the more recent videos of later builds).

It has completed my picture of the dx9 vs dx10 battle. Every time i see a fight about it i will think. Just wait until dx10 eats its face.

Depends on what you're doing. Me and everyone I know downgraded to XP until SP1 comes out, otherwise, nothing works on it. :)

Well, Vista's a double-edge sword. On one hand, we have DX10, on the other hand, everything else about it sucks terribly and can be done on XP with less ram devouring tendencies.
Lucky for me, I have Vista partitioned off on an XP drive.:D So I can have
DX10 without having to deal with Vista's B***S*** when I'm doing regular stuff on the comp. Best of both worlds you could say.
End result::yay:

Working, surfing and so on is way more relaxing in vista for me. :)

Well to each his own as they say, but I myself have gotten quite used to XP, like an old worn in sofa. Vista still needs some breaking in(aka: a service pack).

Not really its utter bollocks!
Its buggy as ****, the nvidia drivers are ****e, its uses far too much memory even when tweaked.
You did know there is a DX10 crack for XP.

For one its a memory hog, press ctrl alt & del and see how much memory its using.
The drivers for nvidia cards are crap and the performance sucks bollocks.
Not every game that is currently out is supported by Vista hence it crashes the game or it wont play at all.
You can't honestly think this OS is stable, its not even had its first SP yet.

1. That it uses memory has it's reasons, jsut because you can't see it makes it not a loss.
2. The driver issue is if you want it to a bug by nvidia, my ati works damn fine. :)
3. the only game so far which is not working is bia2, I even can't install it, beside that every game works fine, don't know if it is working, but here's a list of the games-> http://club.ign.com/b/list/custom?lid=100018
I didn't check every game, but all games that have a multiplayer which has players. And the best SP games.
Btw what is a SP? Why do you say it's not a good os untill the sp1? Is there any fixed note about every sp1 being the only help for an os?
It's like in games, some games come out, nearly bugfree (ex. AD1701) and others are even with patches very unstable (gothic 3).

There's a what now? If there's a cracked version out I'd like to see it, seeing as that's the only upside to Vista.

The memory hoging has a reason, i think its the DX10 and other thingsm that arent in XP
