I got to play Crysis today!

I got to play Crysis today @ the WSVG here in Louisville and it's pretty damn sweet! Although the computer it was running on was taking a beating when the attack chopper flew in. I think it was a Core 2 Duo, but it was struggling to run it. The motion blur probably wasn't helping matters any. The environment and shadow's were second to none and the game play seemed to be top notch. I just wish it was on a computer that ran it better. I will be getting this game for sure! (after I save about a grand or so to build a rig that will run it:shock:)

I have a C2D E6300 and an overclocked 7900GS.
I'm really hoping I won't lag badly. I read that it performs best on C2Ds.

2 GB Ram
300 GB HDD

I think it's a powerful rig that I have here, and I have heard that it will have no problem playing Crysis - but it would be useful if you could say what model of the C2D they were playing it on.

250GB HDD

Almost the same as yours and we should expect medium-high settings I think.

you've only posted once here.. you haven't said a word since this... I'm starting to wonder if you did play it. However if you did and yo do reply to this post and happen to talk to ANYONE involved in makign this game to make sure you tell them guys to NOT make this game have Ranked crap!!! Let the server files be public and anyone and any provider or anyone owning a server be able to set one up like all the other games cept for BF2 and 2142 and now QW.

This has to happen! They can't ruin this game like those others!

Come on, was the game really messing up on a C2D? Just about everyone owns a C2D or something along the lines of sort. If not, they are older CPU's and EA would be ****ing themselves big time. But hey, when doesn't EA do such a thing?

Rankings take away from the games for FPS IMO. Although, is it a trick to get people to play more, like MMORPG's???

I'm here. I have just been checking the forums out on the official site. When I played it we were about the leave and I didn't get much time to check it out. I'm not sure if it was a C2D or a C2D-E. I just know there was a tag on the table it was on and I remember it saying something about Duo. We looked a lot of computers so I may be wrong. It was definitely a Intel booth.

As I said, it played well until the attack chopper came in. It was blowing up dust and shooting and it was just a lot going on and it started to bog down. It was still playable but not very smooth. I'm sure they will have the bugs worked out by the release.
