What kind of power supply should I get for this system:
650i Ultra motherboard
E6600 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo CPU
EVGA GeForce 8800GTS Superclocked 640 MG video card
and 2 gigs of some random RAM?
I am thinking like 600 watts? And should I get a bigass fan (no overclocking, but that's a lot of heat)?
Cheers

Just a few minutes research on google would answer you this questions. But it's always much easier when you ask other people to do it for you, isn't it?
E6600 - 60 watts / 95 watts
8800GTS - 170 / 190 watts
mobo+fans+mem+peripherals+LEDs - 150 / 200 watts (MAX)
Both EVGA and Intel both recommend a 400watt power supply for there products, though a 550 or 600 watt PSU will provide definite stability and room for overclocking.

I'd recomend a 600 Minimum and a 700 for room to expand.

Give him a break tehinv, he was only asking. I would also recomend a 600W/700W.

Stick to looking at single-rail power supplies with over 600 watts of power. That will do quite well for your purposes. Power supplies always have their own fans, you don't need to buy a special one for them.

With PSU's - you get what you pay for. Every time, without fail.

Just dont go on ebay and buy a £30 no brand 600w powersupply!
You will need to spend £65-£100 depending on what you get.
For example I got the Seasonic S12+ 650w for £80 second hand of ebay. But thats one of the best ones due to its very high efficency.

I got LCPower 550W Super Silent
I have Same CPU and 8800 GTX and 2 gigs ram and Antec 900 Case, does the job pretty good. It's a pretty cheap PSU really.

Well if your looking for something really good try a PC Power & Cooling, other than that I would reccomend a Thermaltake Toughpower.
