BF2 wont install?

Everytime i try to install Battlefield 2 i get to the maps at Daqing Oilfield.zip then the install says

Failed to install Battlefield 2, try again from the beginning


My Specs

Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.66GHz
2.67GHz, 512 MB of RAM

P.S i played the game before, never have seemed to have the problem, and i also tryed cleaning the CD but that did not work

You're going to need a gig of ram.

What is your hard drive size and how much free space does it have?

Try the disc on a different computer your disc may be faulty or your drive cant read it

my hard drive size is 37.1 gigs, and i have 10.3 gigs left, but i just bought a 250 gig USB drive but it performs slow

well it performs slow for some games, and thats where im going to install Battlefield 2

Just quit now. 512 and an external USB hard drive? You won't be able to do it and have any reasonable game action.
