Extremly High Ping?

Since i got BF2 ive ALWAYS had exactly 47 ping.

Bearly moved.

I got a new GFX Card, On Lan i get to run all high graphics perfectly well.

But when i joined a internet game, i get 300+ ping and always get kicked.

Background Programs running? NOPE! Only programs running is BF2 and some Microsoft, but if i disable those, my system restarts.

Any tips guys? I LAAAGG when i play :(

changing a Graphics card should have no effect on your Ping, thats down to your internet connection and if there is any programs using it,

Is your Internet through LAN? Could it be that other computers are online filesharing?

agree with schinto, a gfx card has no bearing on ping whatsoever, its down to the connection and what could be sharing it, you say theres no background processes, but do you really know what they are, just because some say microsoft doesn't mean they are actually from microsoft, try a full vireus scan, u can do an online one at housecall.antivirus.com, also do a spy sweep, I use avg antispyware and spysweeper, but there are a number of ones you can try...

If as ales98uk suggests you are playing over a lan connection on the net it could be down to that reason, other people doing other stuff using the net connection, or they might have processes/virus/spyware bogging it down.

look any weird processes up by typing them in google

Since your LAN connects through a router/ hub etc. try restarting them by pulling the power cord out and pluging it back in, (without electrocuting yourself), that normally works for me.
