since I'm old skool :p, I'm gonna run Crysis on my 7900 GS. But I have to run this game at a res. of 1400X1050, do you think thats pushing it?
Specs:
AMD X2 4200+
2 Gigs DDR2
XFX Geforce 7900 GS Xtreme Edition.
thanks:salute:

I really think so. Right now if I put BF2 on that res on my 7600 it would beg me to stop and I think that Crysis' graphics are way better. (i had to return my 7950 cause it would overheat on idle lol)

well it plays BF2 at a 100 FPS or more at that res ;) I dont know though cuz it will look pretty bad if it's not at its native res.

yeah i miss 4x aa on the 7950, but then again BF2 doesnt have all the advanced shaders and lighting and etc. I'm guessing you can play on med low on that res, but if you lower it you might be able to play on all med. I tried Dirt, which has some really cool graphics, but wasn't optimized that well, and the most I could do with the 7950 was med high with the res on 800x600. anything else gave me lag. but i'm sure crysis would be more optimized ;)

id say medium - medium low a 7900 GS can def hold its own i have a 7900 GTX right here that i used in the limbo between my 88 gtx and 88 ultra and i must say the 79gtx def held its own in most titles. i was running 1680x1050 on the 79gtx so i think u'll do ok on med.

I have a 7900GS and I output it to a 32" LCD Tv with no probs and no lag whatsoever. go for it!

yes but if I'm not mistaken, TV's have a smaller res than LCD's?

they do, the max a tv can go is 1080, while monitors go almost double that.
