Is it a single or dual core processor? you probably need another gig of ram. But if its a dell id just do your own total rebuild.

it's a dell m1710 which is made for gaming i believe it's a dual core also i have like a good amount of ram i believe.

Hmm, well 2GB is almost a standard now if you want to run games well. At the moment I'm presuming you'll be able to play at about medium at a lower res.
