BF2Deathmatch Mod Announced

Sir. Elxx is back today with the unveiling of his latest mod for BF2 titled BF2Deathmatch. Here's what he had to say:

Have you grown sick of Conquest? Are there times where you just want to go and teamkill everyone in sight, but are hampered by the dangers of being kicked and banned? Or do you just yearn for the simplicity of a game mode where infantry tactics take a back seat to pure fast-paced carnage?

Developed with a unique scoring system, BF2Deathmatch features a free for all combat style of gameplay in which players can expirience intense close-combat firefights on their favourite BF2 maps. Karkand and Sharqi may be familiar to you now, but you will learn to appreciate every nook and cranny as you fight for frags.

The first release of BF2Deathmatch will be very soon, stay tuned!

n1 Elxx, thou this is not really my type of gameplay, im a teamwork man! hehe.

Still im sure lots of ppl will like to see this.

Maps will also include strategic objects and covers I.e Vegetation/crates/pallets/explosive barrels. Spawn points are placed randomly across many points in an effort to stop spawn camping.

Also, fighting is centered around a very small (Less than 16 player) map size so there's always action.

I'm sure you guys will enjoy this. Not far from release.

You only get one grenade. So far, we haven't had any issues with nade spam tactics if that's what you're wondering :)

What a great opportunity to make some sort of leaderboard.

We have had these sort of deathamatches on the server with FF off the time it takes you to whip out your nade and remove the pin, you're already dead. This mod is so intense... even a 1o1 is insane.

Bit of both. I just finished the Fushee and the Mashtuur maps. They will be based around the Mosque with a lot of cover and obstacles too, very small whilst the Fushee variant is based around the water fall. They will use current maps but with new editions.

So far as I have seen it, it is very fun. All the weapons are nicely blanced, and, like elxx said, nade spamming has not been an issue so far. I cant wait till there are a lot of servers to choose for this, gonna be a good time.

maybe a cool feature(or new mod) would be king of the hill. where u stand 2 feet away from the flag and every second of you being in the ring with out anyone else you get a point. once you die the person that killed u gets an extra bonus. Maybe a option would be that you can only kill the person in the ring and no one else or kill everyone just like death match. I hope you like my idea
