The Australian Forces (http://www.users.on.net/~arkanis/bf2/) mod team is back today with a post regarding the aftermath of their release and where they plan to go from here. Take a look:
The last few days have been extremely hectic, although completely rewarding. The team have been relaxing and having a few games on the Internode servers with a lot of regular faces from the forum, as well as taking on a heap of newcomers.
The player feedback thus far has been really encouraging, although we'd be kidding ourselves and the players if we thought the mod was completely perfect. There's a lot of work left to be done until we get the mod to resemble a finished product that we can be completely happy with. As a result the team have been listening to what you have to say on the forums and during the in-game chat, and as a result we have been making a list of fixes and improvements for a future patch.
Aside from any patches to fix minor issues, we have also started evaluating what new content needs to be made for future releases of the mod. We are definitely looking at Australian voices, new Australian player models, improved weapons sounds, maps, and potentially some new vehicles and weapons for the MEC/China.
Of course we are always on the lookout for people who can help, especially in the mapping, sound and voiceover departments.
Great to see the direction these guys plan to take for the future. If you haven't yet tried out the latest release of AF, download it here (http://totalbf2.filecloud.com/files/file.php?user_file_id=350566).
