BF2 wont start!

BF2 will not start I click my Icon loading screen comes up for about 5 sec then nothing but I can see the BF2 process running in my process'es
SPEC:
AMD 64 Pro 4000+ 2.41 GHz 2.96 GB of RAM ASUS-XLI DELUXE RADION 1900

Ive tried starting the game with my first disc in my DvD drive, deleting the temps, and patchs, reinstalling nothing works anyone know what I can do?

make sure you have the latest patch straight from EA and that you have no modded content and maybe ask EA or Readme advice

how long do u wait? like the very first time it took a few minutes for bf2 to get to the loading screen

I click it the loading screen comes up where it shows Strike At Karkand then nothing happen but I press control alt delete undre processes I can see BF2.exe running. I have 1.41 installed I downloaded it from gamershell.com

There are two startup icons.

One of these will get you into the startup screens in about 10 seconds to 2 minutes.

the other is a play now option. It will take you directly to a game in 2 or more minutes.

be sure you are trying just the regular icon to see if the control panel opens. once that works, attempt to join a local game.
