guys, i need a new comptuer.
the only game i play is BF2.
i am a college student
money doesn't really matter, but lets not get rediculious here.
i want to be able to play bf2 flawlessly on my new machine.
i also would like to burn cd's, and listen to music
A simple editing progam would be nice also!
i also know that "building my own" computer off a website is cheaper but i rather have a name brand (been looking at HP...other reccomendations?). someone help me! I need all programs for college like word, powerpoint, exell, etc. i am a business major - idk if that helps or not. i am looking at windows vista but i am unsure which one to buy.
i am not too knowledgeable about comptuer so any help from someone would really benefit me. thankjs!~

Go to future shop are any comp store near you, and ask them for a kick *** laptop.
I'm going to get one for when I go to the Canadian Forces.

its the complete oposit with laptops to desktop, to build a laptop will cost alot more than it would to buy.
Go to a shop and ask them for what ur looking for or even better im sure some user on here will recommend you some. I live in the uk so my selection i dont think ull be able to get hold of easily!

asus is releasing a docking station that comes with a 7900 gs built into it (you can swap it out later for upgrades) that uses the pci-e slot on the side of laptops. i dont know what the slot is but i know i have one on my lappy and im sure getting one
http://www.asus.com/news_show.aspx?id=5369:D but for gaming on the go id go with some thing like dell or ibuypower becausethe xg station will probably need external power (but the plus side is you can upgrade it)
Personally for school i use a ibm/lenovo think pad that works great
EDIT*
looking at ibuypower you can get a great laptop
Core 2 duo
7600 gs
2 gigs
160 gig hdd
for around 1300$ thats a nice deal
(it also has vista)

A properly chosen laptop will run BF2 just fine. (Much more expensive to get the same performance as a desktop though.) Most people just don't know how to buy decent laptops (they usually don't bother to look at the graphics card performance).
