There is a new progress update posted today over at the Desert Conflict (http://www.desert-conflict.org/) mod website. Here's what they had to say:
Well all is still going well with finding and squashing the bugs. The helos like the little birds have been a bit problematic. We've noticed some lag with them recently and we believed it was code related. Appears our assumptions were correct and Kiff is having them worked on to resolve that issue. Couldnt release some of the most favorite birds to fly and have them lag. Meanwhile whilst I have Kiff on my mind.. I have recently promoted him to Lead Coder of DCON so please all give him a warm round of applause and some pats on the back. For those that dont know exactly what Kiff does around here. Pretty much ALOT. He helps get all the items together for the test builds and codes all the game play modes plus he fixes stuff that we overlook from time to time or stuff we get sloppy on. He's a stickler and I like that in a person. So quite a few things arent up to snuff for him and they were sent back for some repairs. The next build for the testers which hopefully will be the absolute last will be readied soon. This will include the fixes for the lag on the helos. Also we have been tweaking the dumb fire missle code a bit more so they will be more potent. Handheld stingers are pretty much perfect. Ya dont want to be flying around low with these around.
Other than that. I'm on vacation for a month and without my DCON.. So even though vacation is good it sucks.. LOL guess i'll just have to enjoy florida without DCON. I'll be returning the first week of march so I wont be missing alot I hope. I am however as you can tell still around enough to keep up to date on things and to post news for you all. DCON's progress is going well and we're quite pleased that were at the end of the road. Cross the fingers for our next test build..
Hopefully they'll be able to iron out all of the problems. To learn more about DCon, click here (http://www.desert-conflict.org/).
