Help, Crysis stuttering!

So I just downloaded the free beta. And installed the new 163 Nvidia drivers. Whenever I boot up Crysis, even at the beginning credits, it starts to stutter. The EA logo stutters a bit, the nivida logo, etc. Then when I get to the main menu, same thing, stutters. And when I decided to play a game it stutters. I don't know why this is happening...

My specs;

Pentium D 3.2
2 GB RAM
7600GT
XP Pro
Norton 360

Funny thing is, when I set the settings on high(they were on low), the stutter doesn't worsen. It stays the same no matter what resolution or GFX settings I imply.

make sure your not overpowering your graphics card... take down the AA if you can, thats usually a main cause.

AA is off, everything is off or on low, 800x600. And it still stutters!!!

isn't that caused by v-sync, or something like that:confused: considering people with 8800 are having trouble with this, I wouldn't be to surprised if it was because of your hardware.

Odd...don't you get hiccups every 3 seconds? Even when the game boots up and the credits run?

I have had this since day one and no matter what driver i use there is always the same bloody stuttering and now in BETA 3 all my textures are yellow lol.

My v-sync is forced off in the nvidia control panel by Crysis does not give you the option to turn on or off, looks like i will do some digging in the config files.

I managed to get rid of the yellow textures by turning ANTI AN off.
I run a pretty good system but im still not getting the performance i would of liked.I also get anoying slowness when i turn my mouse quick etc!

You need to buy a new graphics card , otherwise you'll be fine. A new 8800 GTX will make the game run around 15-20 fps, not more.

why dont you guys go to forumplanet with the password you got in your email? it's way more helpful since everyone there has played the beta for a long time. :) (plus you woudnt have to worry about the NDA)

i do ha ha ha :( yea the menu is kinda laggy... and i got a core 2 quad and a 8800 GTS 640mb... odd
