Can't install it!!

I have downloaded the project reality mod, and it is on my desktop. When I click on it, my PC just locks up and I have to manually push the power button to restart it.
What am I doing wrong here? It shows it as a 1.6 gig file. Do I need to install in the BF2 folder then open it?

Hmmm I would try downloading it again, it may of been corrupted.

I have downloaded it 2 times already. 1st from AusGamers, second from filefront.
Where do I need to get the good files from?

Downloading it from two different sources, should erradicate the problem of corrupted files. So does the installer freeze at a certain stage? Or do you not even get that far?

I download it to my desktop. It shows up as a white box with a blue bar on the top. It is called pr_o5o6_setup. It is 1.6 gigs and 1,722,069,456 bytes.
I double click on it, and I get the hour glass, then that goes away and it just sits there. I have Win XP, with Kaspersky AV and Zone Alarm also running. I tried disabling both of those to no avail!!!!
I am just dying to play this but it won't work!!

They do stay in my head...or do you mean not on the forum...cause you guys are constantly talking about that crap...was just to say I loved PR so much I got punished lol....I'm not realy supposed to be on right now anyway. But ill find a way to stay.

If it asnt been mentioned as a fix i had the exact same problem i had to download the mod about 4 times everytime i got the lock up what i found as a fix was the old fix off turning off your firewall..

i no its always recommneded when installing but i have to admit 90% of programs i install with it on.And nevr have problems it just tells me tehre activaty going on and i allow it.
with this setup i wasnt even getting that..


I noticed it after getting peed off for teh 5th time of downloading for it to lockup.. so i did some investigation and it seemed in teh task maanger the pbsetup was failing to propley start... i knocked off my filewall and it worked first time...

for teh record i use zonealarm as a firewall and anti virus...
could be worth a try u truning the modem off turning firwall and stuff off and then trying.
