Battlefield 2 Booster Packs Collection (Credit card no required?)

Hi

I was looking on amazon and found that I could get the bf2 booster packs
on dvd finally, after reading the user comments while thinking of going
out to my local shop to order it I rad a comment saying from someone
that they bought it, installed it, and then while they were registering
that the needed to enter their credit card details when installing the
game to play on their servers. I would like to know if this is true or not
as I dont have a credit card to use (if i dont have the money i dont buy it
policy.) so if this is true i would be buying the game and when registering
would have to return it.

Please could someone let me know if this is true.

(If its a required detail I live in Republic of Ireland but registered my
EA account while living in UK).

I never had to enter any credit card info, except when I purchased the mods via EALink download.

Well, I bought the discs, and installed them, but when I join the server, it says I dont own them.

You only need to enter your credit card info you purchase the games from EA Link. If you purchase the game in the store, you need to install the game and then after you try to join a server, a message will pop up directing you to login to your EA Account. Then you enter CD Keys and list your player ID to register.

It's a bit of a pain, but not really that hard. Good luck!

Yeah, sucks for me as I can't register my copies because I bought a used copy. So it's already registered in someone else's name. I wish I could figure out a means past it so I can enjoy what I paid for.

just call ea games make sure you have the box as they may ask for the upc code and the key. just tell them you have bought the game and the keys are being used by another person they will send you new keys for it as i done for BF2142
