How will my computer go?

I was just wondering if you guys could tell me what sort of settings i'd be looking at if i was to get a reasonable fps with my system.

SPECS:

intel quad QX6600

2gigs of ram (dont know the speed sorry)

400gig hard drive'

8800GTS 320MB

500W PSU

22" screen

okso looking as far as u can i get about a min of 20FPS with explosion nad other stuff on med. inside its about 50-60. this is in the beta which isnt optimized as much. on a 8800gts 320mb OC

with a res of 1024x1024 something like that

That's a nice computer setup to be honest. Just about the same thing I'm gonna be getting except for a 640MB video card.

Though threw a lot of research I have read (YOu guys probably already know this and gonna be like. No crap!)

THE FACTS:
The bigger the monitor the more video card memory you will need. Sorry that is in accurate let me put it in a diffrent way the higher resolution the more memory on your video card you will need. (That's kind of a down fall it's just like if you were to buy a 32 bit operating system and you bought 4gigs your not gonna get your money's worth in other words your not gonna get the full 4gigs, also what I'm trying to say is that if you get a high end video card but get a low end proccesor the video card is not gonna run at it's full potential.)

THE OPINION:
I recommend (IN MY OPINION) to upgrade to a 640MB one so you can run at your highest resolution with no problem. The reason why I say dont get the 756MB is because later on down the road when you wanna dual video card you dont have to spend that much more money if you get the 640MB and it'll be almost like the same thing. I also recommend you to sell the current video card you have and just buy one 640MB unless your loaded with money and can get 2 640MB's at one time.

I run it maxed flawlessly and my specs are similar yet he has a diff cpu and 2GB less ram and only a 320MB GFX Card. He will have no probs playing it on max just give windows a little tweak and your sorted.

Ok. now im getting the 640MB version and also another gig of ram.

i dont expect to play all max, i just want medium maybe some high with reasonable FPS.

Ram doesnt have much to do with it.

Basically the 8800GT 512Mb seems to be 2-8% off a 8800GTX for normal resolutions and 5-10% for 1920*1200 resolution, but it can be had for as little as £135 compared to £290+ for an 8800GTX.
