Does anyone know of motherboards models that support core2 duo and have dual support for AGP and PCIe cards.
I have looked around and all I have found is the
ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA, which at first glance seems ok but it only supports PCIe at 4x not the full 16x..
THis is a short review http://www.legitreviews.com/article/377/14/
If anyone else has any ideas I would appriciate it, Thanks for the help everyone...

sigh..
if you noticed the motherboard he listed has both AGP8x & PCI-e slots,
anyways, i have the motherboard before that one an its PCI-e slot is only 4x aswell, Asrock seem to be the only ones that make dual support motherboards but i dont think there is a x16 slot version yet,
i got mine for a cheap upgrade for another machine so it can still have a C2D processor but still keep the old AGP8x card i had with out spending at once to buy virtually a new PC, it makes it easier to upgrade slowly :)

I see where you are confused as per the dual support statement lol am searching for a mainboard that will run a Core2 duo and has AGP and PCIe support.
Thanks for the thoughts...

yeah.. Asrock might be the ONLY company having product like you search.
I have similar but for AMD64 processor and it works fine and is reliable. Year using and no problems with instability. used AGP card first and then pcie. both AGP and PCIe lanes work fine and full speed..
