is this a new bug

i run bf2 with everything on high but shadows and lights off

but lately, on every 2nd or 3rd loggin when i join a server, all my shadows and lights are on max, but in my settings it says there off

all i do is restart the game and that fixes it, but it gets rather annoying

It's a common glitch, don't log out and it will not happen.

when i log out, its the only way to fix it

He's saying the only way to avoid it is to not log out.

What graphics card you using?

i have a 7600gt

the problem occurs when i first join a game
the settings are turned on max, but i dont play with max
the settings stay the same like terrain-high and shaders-off
but sometimes when i play i c shadows and then i can barely play

bf2 is BADLY written in many ways
this is one of them
ie graphics not matching your setups
happens a lot
go to video options
make changes
restart game
make changes back to desired settings
restart
it will then be as desired
