You guys think so? By the looks of the trailer it looks like it just uses the same engine. Its as if they just modded bf2 to look more futurastic. So I think if you can run bf2 fine, then you will run this game fine. Agree?
p4 2.6
1 gig ddr ram
ati radeon 9600xt

Probably, they probably have or will have worked out some good optimisations by the time it's released.

If anything, they'll be speculated specifications. Let's just hope for the best, and not have to upgrade computer parts again. @.@

Here are the official requirements:
Proc: AMD Athlon FX-55
RAM: 2gigs
HD: 10,000 rpm SATA
Video card: Geforce 7800gt or Radeon x1800
Sound card: SB audigy 2 zs
Mobo: Something that costs more than $100
Fans: Zalman 9500 for cpu
And the game will still be buggy and choppy like bf2
he was just jokin.. it'd be crazy on any company's part to have only a few ppl top lay their new game... it will be almost the same as bf2, and maybe slightly higher, since they've used the same engine and "heavily" modified it..

Well they have said that bf2142 is what bfv was to bf1942 so im guess you dont need to upgrade unless your rig reall sucks.
Mine sucks but I upgraded it for bf2 as much as I could and I run bf2 on medium(gound textures look like %^$# but everything else is ok) at a res of 1280 by 1024.
I cant upgrade no more unless I get a motherboard, which means I need new card(mins agp) and new ram, new power supply etc. So in reality I reallc ant affford a new pc for another year so im really hoping they tighty up the engine and make it run smoother than it runs now.
My pc sepcs are
2.67 ghz P4
1024 Megs of pc2700
AGP X800 256 megs ram and 425 mhz ccc.
Its crap I know but when BF2 gets going it runs very smooth. Starting it up and shuting it down are another story.

Yeah i hope that the requirements are not to far off the bf2 requirements otherwise im screwed. I read somewhere that the engine was only modified to improve the stuttering and the constant locking up on bf2, so hopefully the game doesnt require the specs that the poster said in the other thread.

ive heard that it will have the new quake engine. Or the unreal engine. Both are awesome and my system will still be able to pwn it.

It said it would have better explosions, and the lasers will add to some video card stress. So I think it will need to be higher.

Your pc is almost the same as mine.. turn your resolution down to 800x600, and you can crank up the other visuals, like shadows and lighting. Believe me, it'll actually look better, even at that lower rez.

I have tried I lag to much at a lower res, even with lower settings.
I have a LCD so I have to put my res at 1280 by 1024 and it runs way smoother than it ever did on 800x600.
My new rigs going to be digital video so it will runn bettter I hope(I am refering to my LCD hookup and new LCD)
