Continuing Stats/Score

I will probably buy BF2142, anyways, but i think they should continue with your global score from BF2. I've put 400 hours into BF2 so far, and i dont reallt want to just give them up to play BF2142. I know some people are against this, so what comments do some of you others have about this. -long live BF

well a global ranking system similar to the BF2 one would be a great idea and they almost WILL have one. As for combining it with the current BF2 one, I dont know. They are different games, and knowing them they will have two separate ones, but I understand where you are coming from. I propose that they combine the ranking as you have said, but then log different activity and record differenet achievments for each game. but just have different sections, so you click a button to view the BF2 stats, and click another button for the 2142 section. not too hard.

It would'nt surprise me if they changed the entire setup for the stats. It seems they are restructuring the the classes and trying to incorperate more charecter growth. With that being said I am aginst any carry-over of stats from one to the next. If you want to look at it from a realistic perspective, there is no way your current character would be present in the year 2142. I would, however, like to see the possibility to retain your current tag.

I really dont care if the stats continue from BF2 i am not really a stat person i only play on ranked servers cause there allways full:D


Too keep the stats from BF2 and implement them in 2142 is a bad idea cause some people will have all the unlocks medal and everything else within minuetes of playing the game:D

You can probably use the same account (or more than likely it will be on a different database) but I doubt they will allow continuation of stats from BF2

thats the thing. why wouldnt EA cary over the stats. would u buy another product knowing that you have out in over 500 hrs in bf2 and then have to start all over. so if EA did carry over the stats then alot more people would buy bf2142.

If you ask me you could remove the ranking system from BF2 either, it f*ed the whole gameplay...

thats what i say!!! Less lag on servers aswell. All players just sit and camp to get points so they can get an "internet" rank....

I think EA will make everyone start at 0 for 2142 to give everyone a chance to be #1 or so.. I am sure that you will be able to use the same account because could use the same acount for BF2 and BattleFront 2

Futurstic ranks would be cool instead of the same old stuff we have seen since WW2 lol. Medals and ranks need to be changed. It should require more skill to get them, rather then time...alot of time. 4500 hours ! They really need to get this right to save the BF series from dying.

With a comment like that you can offend alot of people, and you have offended me for one. Ranks and medals are tradition, men have died and have not recieved medals, they died with ranks that have been around for centuries, now add medals that are fitting to the world of 2142 yes, but change tradition "just coz we've had them since WW2 or woteva". Think before you type

I highly doubt they will roll stats over. I to have a lot of time put in but its a new game so it would not attract new player if everyone else has there bf2 rank.

I wouldn't want to carry over the stats. It's a new game, a new fresh start. If you want your stats from BF2 then stay in BF2 but this is a new ball game and everyone should start from the same playing field.

That would be horrible because noone will will be able to get up top. it will be the same people. So it should be a new start.

I dont think they should carry over your statistics. It will give new people the chance o be number 1 in world instead of seeing Firestorm and Blazin.uK up there. Nothing against them, I would just like to see some new faces.

I do however think they should carry the requirements over into BF2142 along with some new awards.

I think they are trying hard to fix the whole medal thing. I rember in one of the patches they released they lowered the time for everything and points to. I went up like 4 ranks when that patch came out. And a lot of the medals badges were easier for me to get.

Dude its a game get over it.

Im sure the men did not die to keep the name of the ranks, they died for their country. They died to keep our freedoms, which includes freedom of speech(For us "Yanks"). That freedom is for everyone, not just people you agree with.
