Heavily based on BF2 who I think just about got the amount right

The Killing Classes - Core Squad of 4
- Knife
- Automatic pistol as standard (think Unreal Auto Pistol :) )
- Body Armour

Anti Infantry
=Assault=
- Standard Issue Assault Rifle (Railgun power and rate of fire in portable form)
- Automatic 20mm Cannon (Similar to FEAR's 20mm rifle in OICW clone setup))
- Det Pack (Think C4 but just one with Anti-vehicle bias)
- Smoke Grenades

=Machine Gunner=
- Heavy support weapon of the same weapon family as the Standard Issue Rifle
- Napalm Grenades
- Bullet Equivalent Resupply on foot. In Personnel Carries only (not tanks etc.) resupplies rockets and greandes etc.

Anti-Vehicle
=AT=
- Standard Issue Assault Rifle
- Under slung Shotgun addition
- Anti Vehicle Missile Launcher - Very fast and manouverable (Similar in avionics to HL2 - with large Splash Damage and Missiles limited to 3. Matter Disintegration Effect)
- Anti Vehicle Mines
- Smoke Grenades/ Flashbangs

=AA=
- Standard Issue Assault Rifle
- Scope for medium/long range Auto-Sniper ability
- AA missile Launcher (Similar to TV missile guidance or can be fired as a Stinger POST with a good probability of successful evasion. Very powerful against Air units)
- Laser Guided Grenades (Good old Warhammer :D)

Specialist Class-
- Knife
- Silenced Pistol
- Highly Effective Camoflage (Environmental Adaptive)

=Special Forces=
- Carbine
- Scope
- Silenced
- C4 explosive equivalent (extremely effective anti-fortication, enemy asset, heavy weapon weapon)
- Laser Designator
- Grenades

=Sniper=
- Anti Vehicle Sniper rifle (M95 anyone :))
- Claymores
- Grenades

Support Classes - Points Whores
-Knife

=Engineer=
- PDW armour piercing submachine gun
- Grenades
- Repair Ability
- Weapon setup ability (Mounted AA, TOW, Mortar, Machine gun Placement, Artillery)

Medic
- PDW armour piercing submachine gun
- Grenades
- Healing/Armour Repair Ability
- Revive Ability - the medic stabilises the critically injured for Med Evac (Allowing the player to respawn faster on squadleader as if nothing happened rather than suddenly jump back to life)

I'll probably think of more - i prefer classes with internal customising than pure customisation of your soldier

Na dude your barking up the wrong tree lol. They got there **** down. From what I read in the pc gamer article (which by the way has been released in its entirety on Planet Battlefield) they know what they are doing. Everything will make since and be balanced nicely. That just sounds like a fairy tail, nothing good for game play.

hope they have certain classes that can only drive mechs, or only fly the hoverjets.

yeah, that would get rid of tank and mech whores. I would like to see the medic's paddles be some zapper-type gun. BZZZT! ok, you're good get back to the fight!

is there gonna be a person that can supply ammo?

From what I have herd no. The Support classes two sub classes are medic and engineer. So im thinking that you have to rely on a commander for ammo. Or maybe they will put ammo crates back in the game like they did in bfv who knows.

Or maybe they have not thought of that yet lol. Im going with that one lol.

Ill prolly be recon all the time anyway. I only play spec ops now. I got like 520 hours total and like 300 of that is with spec ops. And out of the 520 I have only 200 of that is in vehicles. Most time I have in any vehicle in 58 hours in transport.

Bascically im not an armor whore, I like blowing them up lol.

But those mechs do look to be fun so I dont know lol.

no knife....i mean really.. can u carve into like 2 inches of steel?why not? a nano blade or a stronger metal would do the job nicely and seeing as body armour would be highly unlikely to be metal anyway
not to mention that your 'knife' could be designed to melt matter where it strikes :)

Some scientist actually invented a metal alloy that repairs itself when scratched.

Anyway, I think the grenades should be the same as those in F.E.A.R. with the whole "shockwave" effect instead of an explosion. Napalm is too messy and not 1337 enough for the future. ;)

I 've been thinking about this; Have they made a list of the classes yet? (I haven't read the article). I assuem since this is a mod taking place in the future, they will try to get all 'haxor' on us, maybe provide some kind of computer capable class. I dont htink i would like that idea, but i wouldnt put it past them in an attempt to provide that this-is-in-the-future-damnitt feel....

They not only have some classes, but they have the guns for each class ready. Someone posted it in another thread in this section of the forums.

I say, the medic should be qualified like a support guy...he can give health/ammo packs, and revive ppl, just so you jumle evertything up in a neat little package..
