Yeah, I'd dig an upgraded, techno-indusrtial version of BF1942's score. Trouble is, so many people have so many different tastes in music anything included in a game has to be perty washed out and stewed down for the masses.

bf2 has mostly the same melodies as 1942, but 1942 has music in the genre of the old ww2 movies, and i think 2142 will have the same melodies, but then in a more electronic style, the bfv music kicked ***, but thats populair music from the 60s and 70s that was related to the vietnam war.
so it won't return, thats for sure.

They don't even need to have a specific genre of music in game just make it like the title music or something and give us the option to make our own "MyMusic" folder like BF:V... Get your whole group/clan/entourage a Music list and you can all hear it in game, just like BF:V.

BF:V gave you this option as did the BF1942 Remake/Redux with the BF:V engine. They should've done this with BF2 or at least think about it.

Hells ya it did lol. You would think that they would at least bring custom music back in. They say they are bringing the buddylist back in(Which was in bfv just not as good as its going to be in 2142), they are going back to four main classes and 2 sub classes for each main class etc...

It was so awsome to fly a huey in bfv and listen to the veitnam era music. On my custom playlist I had jimi hendrix on it now that was fun.

that was a great feature for bfv, nothing like charging into battle with a full Huey blaring Flight of the Valkyries and guys screming, "GET SOME!"

but yes they shud bring back the BF1942 style music, BF2 had it where it gave an arabic/chinese versions of them so suit each map that was loading, do the same here for BF2142, like something kinda dooms day becoz of the whole ice age thing

Alright, I'd say BFVN music pwned too, but it's not really "Battlefield" music.

The Battlefield theme (what I call it, for lack of a more official name), which can be heard in BF1942's intro, the beginning of BF2142's intro, in BF1942's loading music, in all of BF2's loading music, and at the end of most BF trailers, is totally awesome.

I loved the new variations of the Battlefield theme in BF2's loading music - in fact, they have one for USA, MEC, and PRC, which is awesome. The start of 2142's intro features the Battlefield theme for about 20 seconds, then goes on to new material.......

I think Battlefield 3 needs to have the original theme. In fact, here's my idea for BF3 intro:

It'll be the same exact intro as BF1942 - the first shot will be a desert with tanks rolling along, then ships, then a city being bombed, etc - only now, all the BF1942 weapons, like the Shermans in the first shot, will be replaced by their equivalents in BF3. That would be so badass and would bring back so many good memories.... :]

I didn't like BF2 music, actually. It reminded me of modern music, yes, but that was precisely the problem. It conveyed no emotion, seemed totally random, and got old really fast. I perfer 2142 music, which feels more fitting for a war.

I can't speak for the '42 music since I never owned that game, but I'd be glad to have the brass theme from Armored Fury back. That was definitely my favorite BF music.

I am so glad they brought back the good theme song and music. Sometimes in BF1942 I wouldnt join the game just so I could listen to the music.
