Another Planet - Story

Thought this up a couple of hours ago while looking at some of the stuff about the game. Thought I would write it down. Im not a writer, so it looks weird and it may be....probably is....crappy. But here you go.

Another Planet

2144 - Africa
AEA Drop Ship - en route to Alpha Base

.....
*Wispering*

Soldier 1: "Well, should we check to see if she's o.k.?"

Soldier 2: "I don't know? What unit is she from?"

Soldier 3: "Hell if I know, she just showed up right before we took off."

Soldier 2: "...Hey Billy, you check to see if she's o.k."

Billy: "What! Why me?"

Soldier1: " 'cause your closer to her, and 'cause we outrank you, so its an order."

Billy: "What? We are all the same rank."

Soldier 2: "Yeah but we have sinority over you."

Billy: "By two days."

Soldier 3: "For god sakes Billy just bloody do it."

Billy: "God Dam***, I hate you guys."

*Speaking Normally*


"Ummm, uh, ma'am...uh, iiiii, mean Sarge, iiii, uhhh, I mean........yo!"

A woman, about mid-twenties, slowely turned towards Billy. Though she still wore her helmet, she still gave off an air of intimidation.

"Yeah Private. What you need?"

"Well, uhhhhh....are you o.k. ma'am, I mean Sarge or uhhh...yeah?"

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"Well you just seemed to be spacing out....like you were on another planet or something."

The female soldier just stared at him for about 5 seconds and began to laugh a little.

Now, Billy was really confused...and a little freaked out by the fact that this woman was laughing for no apparent reason.

The woman stopped, turned to Billy, now looking extremely serious.

"Ironic that you would say that I looked like I was on another planet, considering that I wish I was. Wouldn't you want to be on another planet? Doesn't everyone on this Earth want to be on another planet? To get away from the ice, this war, the chaos and destruction? Think about it."

With that the female soldier turned back to look out of the helicopter and began to look like she was on another planet again.

Billy looked around and everyone else and they all shrugged. Then Billy sat back, closed his eyes and began thinking of what life would be like if he was on another planet. He liked what he saw and a faint smile crossed his face, just like the one that the female soldier gets whenever she thought of what life would be like on another planet.

You hate it? You like it? Prbably hate it. :)

heh, its something fresh and original, i give you that, dunno if this is the place for it, but hell, who doesnt want to read a war story everynow and then, especially if its about 2142, nice job :)
