Thats the newist EA community update. In it, it states that the titan will contain mechs, armor, troops etc. What do you all make of it?

What are you on about?

EDIT:

O SNAP! I just realized what you are talking about thats going to be awsome.\\

Another Edit:

You know what it probally is going to be? Seeings how they are useing BFV elements(Like 4 classes and 2 sub classes etc) I bet the charater "Customization is going to be like in BFV with only 4 diffrent options. I guess thats better than nothing.

But Since they said they are trying to add more RPG elements maybe it will be full customization. Who knows with EA.

i would like to customize my own guy that would be pretty neat. I wouldnt see why we cant if we are able to upgrade our guns 1500 ways.

Sounds good, i bet this is one of the main reasons this is released as a 'new game' instead of an expansion of some sort. So they can change the game requirements (memory and such), as that sort of thing will eat up more on your computer than BF2.

Still this sounds like a great idea (just hope dice and EA dont find a way to mess this up).

I still think the this "customization" Is going to be like in BFV.

And as far ans the minimun requirements go, for titan mode its gonna be a gig of ram at least. Good thing I'll have my new rig by them with 2 gigs:)

P4 W/ HT, 7600GT, 1GB of Ram, onboard sound :( and a decently ventilated case. What do you think I should be able to run it on?

EDIT: That P4 is 3GHZ clocked, btw

Not a clue lol. All I know is whatim getting,

Nvidia 7900 GT 256 mb ddr 3 ram, 520 mhz ccs
2 gigs of dual channel pc 3200(or 3700 can rember off top of my head)
AMD 3800
Very Very Very ventalated case(5 case fans, one in fron, on on side door, one on top, 2 on back)

thats basically the jist of it.

If you have room just get a PCI Blower if you case if your case is getting hot.

Personally, I think it will be full customization. I know for a fact that they are going to let you buy upgrades for your weapons and such, so why not allow a fully customized soldier?

That would be, IMO, the very best feature of this game. I have always dreamed of doing that in a bf game. Gosh, I can't wait for this game.

i wouldnt be so harsh, They want to make their mark in the gaming industry so i think they will make thisgame a big bang. with everything available and not just like bfv. because that was lame. woohoo i can be a white guy, or a black guy or for the vietcong i can be a darker saian guy or a lighter asian guy.lol and i can choose a semidifferant weapon on 3 kits. wooptodoo.
They will definatly make it much more than that.

But dont be so quick to forget all the things they said they were going to bf2 when it was first being talked about(Like how bf2142 is being talked about) and never did.

I'd rather be harsh then to give my hopes up 2 times in a row.

Makes me wonder what they'll feature tomorrow at the E3 live feed (been watching it on Gamespot lately). BTW incase no one knows, Wed at 2pm pdt (that's 5pm est. I believe) on Gamspot they'll be showcasing live the BF 2142 announcement along with some other futuristic games I guess.

It was funny last night they were showing off the PS3 controller, and while they were demonstrating what it can do on screen, the idiot camera man wouldn't pan out to show the screen, basically making the demonstrator look like an *** swinging this controller around (it's motion sensitive)

I hate gamespot I got ot pay to use it. I have a free account but it wont let me login. After I type in my details it just takes me back to the page I was viewing w/o logging me in. Stupid GS.

well ****, the press conferances feed was free, but I guess the actual E3 coverage isn't...bummer. OH well you can still watch it afterwards, when it's free afterwards via replay.

Or (MODs if this is against the rules please zap this section of my post however you see fit) you can go look for torrents of the HD footage.

well the link a few posts up should give a link to it, its available now you dont have to log in. Just click on the tv screen next to the box that mentions BF2142. I cant get it to work though, it louds the video but than freezes up a few minutes into it, ver frustrating:mad:

please someone put it on googlevideo, or putfile or something.

It's not worth it. I watch it all the way through and when they come up to the EA games, he just mentions "Battlefield 2142", then talks about Crisis the whole time. Pretty dissappointing. Just go to the General News forum, prolly see more there than on gamespot right now.

Oh well, I've learned more today from this forum and the news section than I probably could've learned from the broadcast, by the way your making it sound.

Yeah, when I said he mentions "Battlefield 2142" I litterally mean, he just mentioned the name. After he talked about Crisis (which sounds to be a pretty cool game...but still) I was all "AND!?!" the they went to talk about Wii with Mario and Metroid

Lol that sucks. Watch that trailer. It needs special Codec, so get VLC media player becasue it has every codec known to man.

yep I finally get to see the broadcast and nothing, oh well, I though we were going to learn more from this E3 but we have been pretty much been getting a rehash of what weve known already.
