And perhaps the coolest thing in terms of persistence that we learned is that if you get a knife kill on someone, you will always be able to commemorate that kill because you will have your victim's dog tags. You'll have dog tags for every knife kill, with the victim's name on it, so you can really rub it in if you get multiple knife kills on your friend.

this is so simple yet so sweet :D :D :D

I made a bad habit of going out of my way to get a melee kill. Especially when I play CS. It bugs the hell out of me when I see a shanking opportunity.

I hope each tag is labelled (callsign of the person pwned, time & date of the pwnage). This will not only further the embarrassment factor, but will also catch those lame knife cheaters in BF2142 (because there will be some guaranteed).

Ya it should be fun.

All it really means is that your stats will list all the people you'd knifed. It's not as though your player model will change to show all the dogtags you've collected hanging from your belt. Hopefully the people who knife a lot get slowed down buy the weight of all the dogtags they've collected lol.

It might be cool to have have some kind of stats sig that shows all your victims dogtags.

In the video on Gamespot interviewing with the guy from BF2142, they were showing in game footage, and showed a spec ops decloaking behind a person and shanking them. Then showed they're first person view and you could see the dogtag displayed just under the center of the screen.

It wont be the highlight of the game for me but it is cool. Im more intrested in the kit selecton process and unlocks. But yes it is a very cool feature.

I'm going to be a stealth cloaked dog-tag collector. I'm going to make knick-knacks of other peoples dog-tags and sell them on E-bay.

I want to be wearing my dog tag bling. I wonder if I can turn them to gold and have gold braces for each bunny kill I get...

EDIT: Redstar, I like your name and your sig...good stuff!

If you play for 5 months you will have knifed alot of people (atleast, if your good :p) wouldn't the viewer get ... overpopulated?

I imagine they will make it scrollable kinda like now in your bfhq you most recently earned awards can be scrolled from right to left and then back.

I agree with ReaperOfsouls in BFHQ it might show the number of Dog tags and who they belong to.

Sort on kills will help but if you are looking for one perticular person, it will get hard after some time (the filters won't work properly the first 4 patches :D)

I think the feature will work, at least for a while. Its one of the new features they are useing to promote the new game. So I imagine it will work or the community will moan about it and it will get fixed sooner or later.

I hope we will have good filters to sort on (kills, deaths, rank, kit he was using) so you can say: "how many stupid snipers have i knifed so far?" :D

Use a stat viewing site. I hardly every use the BFHQ to look at my stats. They way it is layed out sucks. The stat viewing sites are layed out reall clean and are easy to use.

The only time I use my bfhq is if I want a current point count with out having to wait an hour for a stat site to update.
