I think the devs should reduce numbers of nades for each player to a maximum of two, and also add a delay between trowing them.
Now its a hell of a nade spam. And of course, nerf the sniper weapons hard and add a restriction on how many sniper kits there are on each team.

Sniper kits should be pickup kits, like in most other mods. That works best, just a few of them (depending on the map) is enough.

Plz dont nerf sniper rifles, just limit them! I dont want to play BF2 noobie wars, i want realistic weapons.

I suggest no resupply of nades from support class just bullets. That way you wont have a mobile nade supply following around the nade spammers.
Make nades only resupplied by dropped crate or stationary ammo boxes. This way people wont be so quick to waste them.

In current state they are not realistic. A realistic rifle hit were you aim but its impossible to aim with such accuracy in reality....holding the rifle completly still. It's not possible even when in prone position.

well i shoot rifles regularily and when supported they are rock steady accurate.
Standing they should have some sway, but in supported positions they should be this accurate, especially at these small ranges of only a few 100 meters.
I gotta wonder how many guys here actually shoot real guns??

EoD is perfect this way, only some bugs must be corrected but why nerfing the power of the weapons? go and play BF2 for nerfed guns.

When one weapon has real to life characteristics but all the others don't it creates a horrible inbalance that must be corrected...its not about nerfing this weapon or that one because they "kill to much" its about a level playing field that should be achieved through a "balance" of real life characteristics and "gameplay" to create a fun atmosphere for everyone.
Wouldn't you agree?

No I Dont... BF2 is the "balance game".. both sides have the same firepower.. IT SUX.. BF42 Instead put all the balance on different weapon/vehicles characteristics, for example, The German Army have the tiger, a lot of hit points, a very powefull main gun but slow as cow... US Army, have the M10, a lot of hitpoints, not so powerfull main gun, but faster than the Tiger.
EoD is BF42 School... for example, VC Snipers has the Dragunov, less accurate than the XM21 but instead is more silent and the sniper class have some masive killers Bouncing Bettys... compared with the claymores that can take out 1 or 2 guys at once (BB can kill 6 guys with a big explosion radious).
Talking about Nades... nerfing them will make it worthless to use... instead the players have to learn how to adapt to OTHER play style.. this is no BF2 "kid's plastic war-I-love-stats" is one of the best mods for BF42 EVER.

I play because it's fun, and it's not fun being spammed by 20-30 nades when trying to defend a flag. Nice firefights make better gameplay = funnier.
My opinion is that reducing the number of nades or making them less powerful is one of the top priority.

That's the idea behind the use of the granades, killing a concentration of enemies on a reduced space... If you are been killed over and over again by granades, try to relocate to a safe position to defend the flag... is not that hard ....

A micromillimeter would not matter when firing at a target within the range of 100 meters, especially with a sniper rifle. You haven't a clue what you are talking about. There are also plenty of snipers, in the right conditions, that can reliably take out a target within 700-800 meters. Heck, there are snipers that have taken out a target 1600 meters away. Sniper rifles are also weighted in certain parts of the gun to minimize human movement of the gun. When using a bipod or when steadying the rifle against a surface the sniper rifle will not move significantly to interfere with precision and accuracy of the sniper's aim. The biggest aspects to a sniper's precision and accuracy are vertical bullet deviation(bullet drop) and random bullet deviation. When a sniper is using proper technique and has properly braced his firearm, there will not be significant sway his to affect aiming.
The only reason the gun should sway in this case is because the sniper is breathing. Sniper's are trained to breath a certain way when they fire their rifles so it does not significantly affect the precision and accuracy of their aim. When an experienced sniper fires a round at a target, it is with high lethality.
If you are going to have the gun sway when in crouched, prone, or a supported position, the sway should mimic the breathing of the soldier. It shouldn't just be some random direction of movement to the firearm.

Yes I do. I'm a trained sniper myself and I know what I'm talking about. Also keep to the topic. It's about a computer game, and the game allows a player stand up, kneel and prone without moving the rifle one single micromillimeter.
Also, bullet drop is not much to worry about when a trained sniper knows how to measure distances. Worse is the wind and in cold conditions the ammo temperature and chilly hands.

Maybe soldiers in EOD don't have to breath and their muscles never fatigue when holding a rifle in an unsupported position. Did you ever think about that? Well, did you? ;)

BF2 is the balance game? :laugh: Lets see... the Chinese get AK47s, the MEC get AK74s and the USMC gets M16s. Each weapon differs from the other. Of course we have the choppers: the MEC chopper has an excellent cannon due to its splash while the USMC Cobra has a slim profile which makes it a bit harder to hit.
Lets not get started on the F35s and J10s. Balance 4tw.

I have no problem with the nades as they are,... But the support/ammo guy shouldnt be able to follow around a group of nade spammers keeping them full of nades either. I think that adds to the problem more than anything.
I know they are nerfing the snipers, i just hope it isnt too much.....plz dont over do it.

It comes from "Nerf" toys, they make soft sponge rubber footballs, and toy guns that shoots sponge bullets at you, that bounce off.

Well i really liked the EoD release but, bf2 players are nothing like AA,arma or any other realism type game player, they are pretty dumb and like to run in guns blazing, not sit back and use a rifle, with that said 1.reduce nades per kit to say 1-2 max 2.the sniper class maybe make it more inaccurate or use kit limiting those are the only options i can really see for sorting it out.

What is so bad about snipers? If I want to lie back at 300 meters and snipe (not to mention, racking up points), then just let me do it. Stop complaining and go do your own thing.
