I think replacing the regular grenades with smoke for the medic is a great idea. I only play medic and it will be really cool to have smoke for cover to get to guys that are in a "hot" area. I think I will really like all the upcoming changes.

Any idea when the patch will ready?

They are the colored grenades. Meaning they let out less smoke and don't provide very good cover. They are used for designating an area, objective, or point. They do not provide sufficient cover.

Nah, I reckon it will be coloured like say the grenade the pilot kit gets in PR, rather than say the smoke cannister that appears on the map when a move to issue is given in vBF2 - at least I hope that's the case or they will be pretty useless :D

Cool, I hope your are right. That would make a bit more sense. Hopefully they will change it to two grenades. Though I guess there is always the option of being resupplied. I just hate to see people given one more reason not to play a medic.

No, but don't forget as well as support giving ammo, there are ammo crates dotted around on all the maps.

In the post, it says that the patch is in the test phase. How long does this typically take?? Do you guys have any predictions on when the patch will be released?

Don't mean to pester anyone, I just really love the mod, but having 25 snipers out of 30 players on a team really sucks.

I would like to know if the VC will be getting a silenced weapon to counter the silenced car 15.

In that POS mod Dcon the silenced m4 was far too much of an advantage with nothing of the sort on the other team.

The snipers would be good, but they just limited the maximum number of the in the server. So, maybe a max of 1 per team when there are 20 players, 2 per team for 40 players and 3 for 60 players.

I wanted this to be out alot sooner than it is going to be. I actually, had a build up and ready, so I thought, last weekend. As I was uploading it to the ftp, I was playtesting it on my own and was getting random ctd's on map load.

It was the oddest thing. I would play a map in sp then goto the same map in mp and when loading, CTD.

I ended up rebuilding the patch/mod 5 or 6 times until I finally found the cause of the crash. It was a bad sound file. It never debugged and worked fine in the editor, but did not like things in the game.

Anyway, between that issue and work. I lost alot of time. I apologize to the community in not getting this build out faster. It should be out very soon.
