ok, I had had BF2 and SF already install and patched on my computer and I wanted to get AF on, because I love the blackbird and the map OP: Harvest is one of my favorite maps. So, I downloaded, installed, and patched AF.
But the second I try to join a server, it says that I need to buy the booster.
so, WTF!?
Can anyone help me fix this problem?

Did you register the game to link your BF2 nickname/GameSpy account to your EA account?

How?
I bought it on EA Link, not in a store.

This happened to me although I bought it from a store. Just keep reinstalling it if you can.

Reformat your HD, that should take care of it

Regardless of where you bought it, at some point you need to tell EA what BF2 nick you will be using with the boosters. You can only use the booster with the nick you have registered (you can change it up to once a week or something I believe).

Forget HD ("hard disk" by the way). Go to the EA website (www.ea.com) and log in to your account (using your EA Link username and password). Then click on My account and My full account details. Reenter your password and choose Downloads Info. There it is:
Edit Battlefield 2 Account Name. Enter your player name (Eye_of_god or whatever you are using) and thats it.

At least try it before formatting your hard disk as some wiser man suggested.
