Basically the title.
I reinstalled sound drivers
I can set my sound to low without any crackling, but it sounds crap lol.
really need help
Ram: 2GB
CPU: dual 2.4
GFX: 7900GS
Soundcard: sigmatel
Windows Vista home premium

Are you listenin through speakers or head phones. If either of them, you might want to see if you could get some new speakers or headphones.

However, if you can, see if you can borrow a friends speakers, to make sure it is the speakers that are causing it to crackle up. If you try this and it stil crackles, i have no idea what to do.

There are multiple posts in the Creative forum complaining that the Creative sound drivers for Windows Vista is causing these cracking sounds. This happened for me to the first week I installed Windows Vista and the Creative sound drivers for it. Either now I don't hear it or my ears are used to it. Maybe it's the same for that sound chip/card?

Is your sound option set to software or hardware? It should be software.

That is correct..

Hardware mode is only compitable with supporting soundcards..
