Welcome to the USI Game Mode Update!

Time to reveal some awesome action going on behind the scenes. As seen in our content page, we have added single player, coop, and rush game modes. The 2 others seen there are still under wip stages. So we'll give some details of what we have so far.

Rush
Rush is basically has the same settings as conquest. The difference is how the map is setup for battle. Each main base starts with only 2 or 3 light transport vehicles, you 'rush' to capture the control points in the field. As you capture certain points, more equipment will spawn up at the main base. There are no vehicle nor soldier spawns at any control points other than the main. The more your side controls, the bigger your force will be. We hope this concept comes into play well as we tweak the layouts for optimal war.

Single Player / Coop
All of our maps will have single player and coop support, we are still experiencing some ai issues, but these bots aren't noobs either.

On a side note, USI is aproaching 'rc' status, and we will continue to update the public as we come closer to .15's release. Stop by our site and show some support, www.us-intervention.com Strap up! You're about to be recalled to duty!

i think that was in the total news two weeks ago, 5/7

sure we will have people playing, for a month then they will dribble back to their ranks and badges even though usi will be far superior in every way. its almost unfathomable the hurdle these developers face just from the rank system alone.

If by standard you mean "Still nobody playing it", then I see your point. I have no idea why the BF2 mods in general get no support (except for PR and DCON). POE2 and USI are great mods, but the players just arent interested, and it is strange.

Good luck on the release though, it would be great if it gets some people on, at least on the weekends. :salute:

it becomes painfully clear when you enter a 24/7 wake room and see all the tards forcing tks because they want the jet to whore up the points to rank up faster. the only reason these wonderful mods are not getting played is rank, EA's answer to stomping out mod development teams.

PoE is bringing in the USMC, which will attract more attention, and USI is bringing loads and loads of **** which will attract more players:nod:

Maybe this:

On a side note, USI is aproaching 'rc' status

Plus I'm a beta tester so I know we're close. USI is content locked. We're debugging at this point.

I am very confident that anyone that likes Dcon will absolutely LOVE USI. I'll leave it at that because I really don't want to get a thread going comparing the two, with arguments ensuing.

The new release of USI will receive a lot of attention and will be played as much, if not more than, current BF2 mods. The tank warfare combined with the new "Rush" mode will be very fun. The community will NOT be disappointed.

Also, USI will be available via ModJive, which will make it's distribution easy.

Yes, if you love tanks, and tank battles, USI is the mod for you. Also there are some urban maps too, and all kinds of gameplay!

reaching rc status isn't really indicitive of an impending release - be you a tester or not.

you can never gurantee anything. also, even though I love USI, it's not very professional for a tester to speculate on a release date.

You're using the word "impending", not me. Please give a link to the post that I speculated on a possible release date.

All I said was that it's very close to release. The fact that USI is content locked and very near to RC status are things that have been posted by official USI sources.

again, a content freeze does not indicate that (as you say) "USI is very close to release"

But I'll shut up now :)

I think he means that with content locked it's closer than a mod still adding vehicles/maps with more bugs and tweaks to find and fix..
But..if you want to be pedantic about it Troy then yeah saying we are at RC status does not mean its very close just closer than we were last week ;)
As you know being an EX DC/DCF tester bugs will show up at the worst time and it would be wrong to speculate exactly how close USI is to release, bugs are found with every test build some new and some the result of fixes or tweaks, all the devs can do is fix them as they are reported and hope as the weeks go past less are found, when that happens i'm sure someone can then speculate about a release date...
