The team behind the Forgotten Hope 2 (http://forgottenhope.filefront.com/main.php?flash=no&lang=english&module=) mod are back today to show off their latest media. Take a look:

Push Mode
For those who have played the original Forgotten Hope, this will be a well understood concept. In Forgotten Hope 2, there are many improvements and refinements. Most notably, the avenues of attack and contention of capture points is shown and updated on each player's minimap. This provides clear and simple feedback on the progress of the map and is a great improvement on the confusion occasionally caused by Push in Forgotten Hope, or large volumes of text instructions seen in other mods which implement variations on this concept.

Artillery Reload Times
In Forgotten Hope 2 artillery reload time is controllable by mappers. In Battlefield 2 mods released so far, this has been fixed at 60 seconds. WOW! Looks great guys.

i have a question on the anti tank mine, i see the model includes a warning flag. will the enemy players be able to see this warning flag and also will the mine "recess" into the road or ground a bit as if it were "buried" or will it be fully visible to everyone when planted?

Yes to both, the flag is a visible model, FH2 has not flashy HUD icons, so engineers have these flags to warn their tanks about mined paths (or fool the enemy with them). And yes, the mines are buried (only the top button is visible), can only be deployed in proned stance and have deployment time (around 5 seconds)

It will be a 200 Kg baby, a freak of nature who will rip apart the mothers belly and kill all the doctors in the hospital...

It will be a 200 Kg baby, a freak of nature who will rip apart the mothers belly and kill all the doctors in the hospital...

I would rather wait awhile and a mod packed with quality than a buggy alpha with vanilla stuff still in it.

Question, would the mines set by an engineer disappear once he was killed just like battlefield1942, FH and battlefield2? I dont think it is realistic

thats just awesome, i cant imagine all the other little details you guys put in, im so geeked to play.

so if you use your flags to fool an enemy tank are you then out of flags for your real mines, meaning is the flag count synched to the mine count? will the flags be a choice when you cycle through the weapons of your class? sorry for the questions but it just sounds like such a intricate feature, i think it will prove very effective in organized play especially with no hud.

flags are a separate "weapon", and you get a few more of them compared to mines. they're placed manually.

hehe, ohh this will be so much fun, deception can sometimes be the best offensive....channel the enemy tanks right down the path of all your anti tankers....it will take a ballsy driver to call a bluff on a enemy mine flag.

i think ive seen that type of mine bfore, i think 21st century warefare tournament mod has them
