The Project Reality (http://www.realitymod.com/) mod team has released an open beta client for v0.604 to the public recently. For those that are interested in participating, take a look:

Anyone can download and play with the Open Beta.

This is NOT a release and WILL allow you to play normal Project Reality as well as the Open Beta. There will be a different icon installed on the desktop.

The goal of the Open Beta is:
1. Stress Test
2. Play Test
3. Buy us time to fix bugs we already know about

Any release of PR will NEVER be a perfect release both wrt bugs as well as game play dynamics. v0.6 will be released with bugs in it. Anyone who tells you there is such a thing as a bug free piece of software is still working on "Hello World" projects.

There are some obvious bugs in the current test build. I'd love to have all the obvious sorted before releasing to an Open Beta, but that doesn't look like it's going to happen .. so please check the readme and previous posts before reporting an issue / expressing an opinion on issues.

When I tried the link at 2:00pm EST it said the mirror was being created. Is this what is supposed to happen? Are the files uploading to filecloud?

Once the file is uploaded it then goes through the process of mirroring and is then ready to download like it is now.

I think the civilian class needs some work, but overall its good so far.

The civilians should not be able to be shot if they approach the brits or whoever with they're field dressings out. It symbolizes I wanna help you! Apparently last night some douchebag thought it would be funny to not take my request, and Mosin Nagant me till I left the server.

Haha its definitely not bug free, but the open beta is helping alot. Lots of good feedback and issues being found.

Most of them work ok but there 's still a lot of work. I read the known issues and will try to help out as much as possible. This version looks very promising :).

I think the civilian class needs some work, but overall its good so far.Weren't the Brits supposed to be able to 'catch' them using their knife?? Yesterday I was in a knife vs rock fight with a civ and after stabbing him 3 times he died... :confused: .

lol well every time he tks a civ his spawn time goes wayyyyy up! :DShould be limited to 60 seconds when you killed a civ

lol, well every time you kill one ur spawn time goes up 60 seconds (with a gun)

really funny to see the warrior whores have a 30 min spawn time ! ahha
