do you reakon that you should be able to use M14s in bf2. in my opinion i think that m14s are one of the best "sniper rifles/semi auto rifles" in the world

i never liked teh semi-auto sniper rifles in bf2. the m14 will prob be like teh SVD or that chinese auto-snipe and i never liked those guns. i always prfered the bolt action rifles likethe m24 or m95. i mean dont get me wrong, i love the M14 in the PR mod, i just dont think i would like it in BF2

Ok here is what should have or should have not been in Bf2 based on real life.
First off (henno13 don't flame me :D)
The United States Marine Corps no long uses the M16A2. It now uses the better and sexier M16A4, and an ACOG sight.
Also there should be, 10 kits. and they all get a knife
Medic;
M4A1 with open sights.
Defib and medic pack, one grenade.
Spec-Ops;
M4A1 with red-dot just like in-game.
Pistol, without silencer
2 Grenades.
2 C4, but 1 C4 can blow up one tank within 5m of the explosion.
Rifleman;
M16A4 with ACOG sight.
2 grenades.
1 Smoke grenade.
Advanced rifleman;
M16A4 with ACOG.
M203 with 6 rounds of HE that kill anything within 5m of the explosion and wound within 15m.
1 Smoke grenade.
Support gunner;
M249 SAW Minime whioch should be way way way more accurate up to 500m
Ammo pack
3 Smoke grenades
Designated Marksman;
M14 or M1A with 4x zoom scope
pistol
1 smoke
Binoculars
Sniper
M40A3
pistol
only one claymore
binoculars
Anti Tank;
Javelin
M16A4 with/without ACOG
1 Red smoke grenade
Engineer;
M11-87
Mines x2
C4 x2
Wrench
Demolistions expert;
M4A1 with iron sights
Javelin with 2 rounds
2 C4s

yeh you're right, that would be one hell of a set up. one problem, that sort of play would require people doing the job of what their kit is. i.e. marksmen and snipers would actually do just that. Not run around all over the place like they do now. but it just wouldn't happen. the only time i ever shoot people at a range of 10m as a sniper is when they've found my sniping spot, or when i'm moving between sniping locations. but you would still get the same as you do now. for the simple reason being that there is no one to say "you have to do this" and be able to enforce it.

i never understood why the M24 was included instead of the M40
and also the L96 should have 10 round mags
as for your suggestions on kits i must say thats what i'd go for, and have to a certain extent in my SP mod
PR have kinda nailed it on the head with how the kits should play, though for a more user friendly game (non mil sim) i'd remvoe the pilot/crew kits
