Well here is it fully translated...
1: "After Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2142 Dice has been working on Battlefield 2142. Joeri and I had the chance to play it at the E3. We'll talk about the gameplay later, can you tell me something about the story?"
2: "Yes, you just said it will be in the year 2142. Now what has hapend: the world has fallen in a second ice age and there are almost no more parts to live. Practically the hole world is fighting for those parts."
1: "Central in the game are the combats and just like the previous parts there will be a lot of vehicles you can take. Errr... what did we see?"
2: "I expected that it wouldn't look like Battlefield because of the many futuristic stuff. I had a Mech-picture in my head and I was a little bit like that, in the game their is some sort of Mech in which you can step on the battlefield. When you control that beast you're a 'walking machine' but luckily there are familiar vehicles. The machines looked on the outside extremly futuristic, I didn't know what I could expect, but when driving/controling it felt the same as Battlefield 1942 and that is relaxing if you played that game."
1: "Yeah! I played that game a lot and the fun part of Battlefield was the gameplay: working together to destroy the enemy. Did you noticed something about teamplay on the E3?"
2: "Let me say it this way: in Battlefield 2 you had the commander-option, that option is still there. You still have someone that can do some things like lauching a misle and that more of that stuff. Teamplay stays important because it's about the mode Conquest. And you can't do that on your own. Well yeah, you hear stories that on the stand of EA that you can't talk to you neighbour and they don't even talk to the the people behind them. So teamplay wasn't there on the E3."
1: "I was standing next to you and I was able to laugh with you when I shot you. But how do you think the game looks?"
2: "It looked nice: the enviroment was beautiful, everything looked fluent. Only when you look at the weapon you notice the detail could be higher if you compare it to other shooters at the E3 for the PC and errr... same story for the vehicles."
1: "Good for now. Dice still has a half-year to improve the game... it will be released at the end of 2006."

and in the 2nd video, I think that was the AT kit, and the thing that looks like a sniper is actually the AT gun. Watch closely, you'll see the missle shoot out of it

That still would not affect the power of the mines, demiz said everything is being tweaked all the way up to lauch and that that was at pre-alpha.

As far as wither that was a sniper or not I think it was AT becasue it had no zoom (could be becasue its pre-alpha I have not seen a sniper zoom yet) and becasue he had mines and mines are a part of the AT kit seeings how AT is not eningeer and AT mixed into 2 sub classes.

And before you say "well only engineer gets mines" I think they way they are going to work it is that you can swap unlocks within a kit as far as the toys go, for the weapons part I am not sure.

So he could of picked AT side of that kit and selected the unlocked mines.

That AT gun is a scary piece of kit from its description, apparently it fires a Tungsten Carbide round that can pierce up to two metres of steel, i'm guessing making it a projectile as opposed to a missile/rocket explains it being less guideable.

Kinetic dmg > explosive dmg yarr!
