Hey, since bf2142 is running on the same engine that is behind bf2, will system specs have to be upped a little. Right now, for bf2, I'm in the "midrange" of technology. I have a radeon 9800 XTX 256 MB AGP card, and I have a 50/50 chance of upgrading it to a Radeon X1300/1600 XTX 512 MB AGP card. I can run BF 2 on all med settings, but I have to have a desk fan pointed at my comp.

A desk fan, huh? SOunds like you need a new case more than a new vid card ;)

iF YOU CAN ALL MEDIUM NOW THEN EXPECT TO HAVE TO LOWER A FEW SETTINGS.

With weather effects and the titan mode having most fighting concentrating in 1 area it will be harder to run all high;)

Yurp menace said it right.

they have improved a lot of the explosoions so thats going to draw more frames plus all the CQC is going to make it so you need a good pc to run effects on high.

So I would say that for titan when your fighting inside you are gonn have to lower your settings from medium to high.

Or get a job ad a new pc lol. I am building a new pc mainly for this game so I can run it on high and so I can run Crysis on high when it comes out lol :D

I am going to ahve to buy new graphic cards next year but O well Ill have the money by then.

All though I might just get a new AM2 socket mother board iono......

LOL @ kissmyRICE with the desk fan.... I thought I was the only one! I have an AMD 3500 & 6600GT and my case has 5 fans in it... still too hot in the summer weather. So I popped of the side of the case and inserted a desk fan into the guts. I run on all MED settings and still generate about 105 degrees- My next plan was to put the whole case in a dorm fridge!

Same, I already got half the stuff and not enough money to buy all new stuff anyway even if I did return the old socket 939 stuff so I am just going to finish this build as planed and next summer get A new fully DX10 compatible card (was going tog et SLI's but now that I am getting the new mobo and ram prolly noy) the new mobo and new ram.

DAMIT...I forgot about Direct X 10...do u think that the X1000's will be compatable with DX 10? I'd hate to have to buy a new card when I just got this one...I hate this....my budget is tight u c? I wanna buy Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, Dawn of War: Winter Assault, BF2142 which is about $100..I'm saving up for the PS3 BTW...a new graphics card will be taxing on my limited funds.:D I just turned 14 here...and I have yet to get a working permit from a teacher...minimum wage just doesn't do it for me...anyone know the chinese to USA exahcnage rate? anyone? I have 2k yen.

As far as I know you will not be able to buy a fully compatable dx10 card untill dx10 is relased which sucks seeings how the gfx card I am getting for this build owns but now I dont care cause next summer i am getting a new mobo, gpu, cpr, and ram.
