WILL THIS PC RUN BF2142 TITAN MODE ON MEDIUM SETTINGS????
-AMD ATHLON 64 3200+ 2.2 GHTZ
-ASUS DELUXE MOTHERBOARD (AGP INSERT)
-ATI X1600 XTX 512/256 MB AGP CARD
-1 GIG OF CORSAIR DIGITAL MEMORT DDR2
-0.5 GIGS OF KINGSTON DDR2 333MHTZ

THIS IS MY LAST DITCH MONEY THROWING EFFORT U GUYS...LOW SETTINGS JUST DON'T DO IT FOR ME..IF I CAN'T GET MEDIUM AT THE LEAST, I WON'T PLAY.

I have a very simlar rig.... same chip, motherboard, and memory but my graphics card is a 6600GT. I run BF2 on medium settings with 100% distance on.... no lag or chop. The developers have stated that the requirements for 2142 will be the same as BF2 so I think you are good to go-

Nope you could play BF2 on medium with no effects but for 2142 i think you will need 2gb of ram and then you might be good to go

It seems that many people are affraid for their system specs... I can tell you this (Dice and EA told it also) BF2142 will use just a little bit more than BF2... not much!

I didn't get the meaning of the 1st post.... are you composing a new system or upgrading something? Or is this you current system and you ask whether it can play bf2142 on >medium settings?

If you're making a new system, then stay away from it.... more info can follow in request :).

Menace...wow...ur system is amazing..so its not a surprise that ur not aqquainted with lower spec systems. My system now ( the same minus the extra 512mb of ram and the graphics card) can run BF2 on medium wif maybe 2 settings on high...my graphics card is a 9800 XTX 256mb agp card...and its not even overclocked (I heard its killer when overclocked) so, over the winter season, or the "overclocking season, my computer is exposed to sub-zero temperatures in my basement, for great overclocking, though I have to wear a winter jacket to play.

So as you can see mine is a very low spec rig and i am upgrading to an ATIX1600 pro on friday With 2 gigs of pc3200 ram 2 weeks after;)

I know i said it wont but it might i mean my answer is a guess but if you stick another 1 gig of ram in then all will be fine;)

The reason i said no is because you will have weather effects which will be system dependent and all the people running around with invisiable cloaks on will make the grap card work harder and some ram aswell.

But as i said i am just guessing

If that ram is the answer...u just saved me 170 dollars...:D ...I really hope it is..since I've read that the 9800 was well made and can compete with the nvidia 7000's...and thats normal...I think I can squeeze a couple ghtz of performance out of my card...the ram is about 40-50 bucks easy.

Before you buy anthing wait for the official requirments if your upgrading mainly for 2142 i dont know much about the 6800GT but on specs alone it is better than the x1600XT so maybe that would be a better card;)

Dude, no matter how many threads you make about your rig the answer is going to be the same.

I would say yes you can but once you get in titan no.

You need to upgrade if you are running something that slow any way.

And as always we wont know for sure until the game comes out so stop asking.
