I’ve noticed that with all of the games in the series.
For example when you stand with a little distance from a vehicle or a building, it doesn’t fell like it’s in right proportion somehow even though it probably is if you compare it to a player model, but still… strange.
Could it be because of the graphics (few polygons, blurry textures) or the renderer?
I’m not sure, I’ve played games with worse graphics which didn’t feel that way.
Just look at other fps games like CS:S, DoD:S, CoD 2 or RO:OST all of these games fells right proportionate.
Have DICE pull out their magic box and delusioned us into believing the battlefield is really big when in fact it is really small? :D

Here are some screenshots of some RO:OST tanks to prove my point:

You see what I’m talking about?
The thing that’s been bugging me with this in BF is that it takes away A LOT of the immensity and the feel of presence.

Things in real life aren't as big as you'd think...

You want a HUGE vehicle? Go on a cruiseliner, or a quarry digger. Everyone knows that the biggest things in life are used by civilians..

And they're all in Texas, since everything's bigger there.:D

Its gotten better throughout he series IMO.

When you went inside of a building in BFV (AND YOU COULD GO INSIDE OF EVERY BUILDING, WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT) it felt like you were in a barbie doll house but In bf2 in th eone building you cna go into it does not feel that way.

Its going to be intresting to see how 2142 feels with all that indoor fighting.

for instance the C-130 in the DC mod for BF42 was only about 10-15 feet tall when in RL its almost 30ft tall. You just couldnt have something like that ingame with the size of BF's maps.

I still think that BF2 was best proportioned though.

Like you said, you cnat make them to big or they dont fit in.

I think BF2 was perfect with proportions but then again you could only get into one building a map so maybe that had something to do with it.

Also, you ever notice how useless sand bags are? you cant shoot over them when crouched yet your head sticks up just enough to get shot.

OCS woulda been alright with properly scaled planes... had the map been scaled itself by about 1.2x

one thing i like with BF2 is that you can jump on a tank without any problems! ;)
