Do you think there will still be AA vehicles even with the loss of jets???
I personally the game will only implement AA turrets to take down the choppers... Discuss.

They have confimed that there will be futuristic flack cannons, as far as actual AA missles I don't now for sure.

Ya and might I say that that thing looks kick *** and the splash damage is huge.

I can smell a nerf a-drift unless they make it like BFV so that when you shooting at air targets the splash damage is high but when you are shooting at people there is hardly any but from the looks of that video thats not the case.

I'm wondering about mobile AA too.. I'd assume there'll be some on the larger maps, and perhaps in the future, should they re-implement jets - then there will HAVE to be MAA.

Operation Clean Sweep was one of the 64 player maps which suffered terribly from a lack of intelligently placed SAA, and the jets could own even more than usual. Interestingly, 32 man OCS had a tunguska.. but 64 man OCS does not?

mobile AA is a must if there's jet's and chopper's, the flack cannon's sound good and I also think they have an EMP missile, but in Bf2 a jeep is the best AA out:D

Against Helos, a jeep is deadly. They use it on Wake, you name it, to hold off wave upon wave of helos. Against a good pilot in a jet, you really don't have a chance in hell to win, since they can see you first. All it takes is a spray of the machine gun, and you're toast.

I actually managed to blow a jet up on Wake, with a jeep. It was an amazing kill, but I had lots of help. The pilot super-airbraked above north village. I had a chinese van, and immeidiatly hopped into the turret. Everyone in the village took this chance to get some revenge on this pilot, and opened up with everything they had. When jet started to speed up again, it was nearly dead, I shot a little bit ahead of it, and blew it up. Turret damage, baby!

I remember on wake one day there was about 15 of us on the carrier, a J-10 came in for a strafe taking out the essex but flying quite slow, we all went prone and opened up and we blew the bugger right out of the sky, damm that was a good moment:D
The pilot was yelling abuse after to:rofl:
Seeing all those tracer's was just damm cool.

Sweet! That must have been a moment...umbelievable. Without any help? Thats pretty sweet. The best moment I had, was when this J-10 kept flying sooo low on the carrier, that it could ram prone guys, so I saw two guys just asking for a ramming, and planted C4 right after them. Sure enough, the jet comes, doesn't ram the guys, but rams someone else. Next time it comes, it goes for the guys waiting on the helocopter spawnpoint, machine guns one to death, and rams the other. While his body was still in the air, I blew my C4. Perfect timing, it blew up the J-10 in a firestorm.:D Someone took a screenie of this same event done by someone else, and won the picture of a day contest.:D

There's nothing like sniping out the pilot of a jet, only to have that empty jet crash 10m before you. Doesn't get much more cinematic than that :D ... plus, that way you can still corpsehump the jet ;)
Or trying to take out a helo with AA, to have the pilot jump out, and the helo later crashing on that pilots head :p

Meh.. I'd prefer something like one of the buggies with the flak cannons on the back..

In reality there is a vehicle like that... a Humvee with 8 AA missles mounted on the back. I believe it's call the "patriot" system, or something very American like that.

Well lets not cry nerf now, lets just see how the game is in a couple of months.

And they game isn't finish, so maybe at the end of the beta testing, they will change some things.

The game is not even out yet and people are already complaining about the nerfing going on .. lol :p
Although EA/DICE have a reputation for doing this, they seem to have changed their ways the last few months. DOUBLE pre-patch open beta testing ... does that sound very 2005-ish-EA to you? Thought not ;)
The thing that DICE should watch out for is not overdoing it. Last time, they listened to all the unskilled players wanting to own the easy way, this time they seem to be taking a bit more feedback from the 'hardcore' (god I hate that word) community. Thing is, the latter seem to want EVERYTHING the hard/1337 way. If DICE follows too much of their advice, we might just end up with a game where a few highskilled snipers dominate the servers, and anyone playing the game just for fun is being locked out.
I just say: let's ALL sign up for the open beta, both 'leet and casual players, so DICE can get a good view of where they are taking the game, and they can get rid of bugs in both normal play, and cheap-spray-n-pray gameplay.

The 50 call on any of the transports will take out a helo in 10 seconds max, much faster if you are aiming the righ way.

I think you can even shoot the pilot out with the jeep 50, I was shooting away at an attack chopper acouple of day's ago and it said I killed "nub1" so I stop shooting, next thing the chopper stop's moving like when there isnt a pilot and crash'es into the water:confused: then I get another kill (I think it was the gunner)

Yea it's happened to me too, shooting out the pilots with 50.cal mounted MG.

I think it's a lag issue though, as opposed to the 50.cal bullets actually penetrating the glass.

last time i spent like 10 min waiting for a jet for mec on kubra dam and decided to try and blow down a friendly jet as it is passing to re-ammo with the rocket..

You have to wait till they come on a bombing run;)

It is easy if they nose dive down for a precise bombing run but any bombing run is easy cause they stay on the same flight path;)

Not me, I usually do a bombing run coming out of a turn, and I'll usually be doing a screw maneuver.

Maybe that explains my only 900 kills within 20 hours flying? 20 hours on foot as support nets me about 3000-4000 kills, if I'm stuffing around.
