I'm trying to run a dedicated server for me and my friends, and the problem is that when I am behind my router, the IP used for the server is the network IP, and when I change the IP to be used for my server to my internet IP, It dont work.

Any help :(

I had the same problem. I just downloaded Hamatchi and made a network with my friends.

Open Your Port and make sure to have a good bandwith!!!!!!!

First off.. you need to log into your router and forward the ports on the computer that is going to be the host. 2nd to find out your REAL IP# which is what will be used you can either visit a "whatsmyip.com" site or similar or you can see that info in your router settings...usually default screen.

Once they use your REAL IP# to connect the router will route them to the host you opened the ports to automatically.

I hope you understand that..but its kinda a waste when there are plenty of servers with nobody in them to play on that are hosted on more powerful systems and net connections.
