Best BF2 expansion

I am considering getting Euro Force or Armoured Fury soon - I already have Special Forces. I dont want to buy them both at the same time so i would like to know which one u prefer and why.

Definetly Armoured Fury, Euro Force is pretty much in no existence on servers.

I really liked the european armys but aside from great wall the maps were not all that great and no servers are running it. AF all the way.

Damn it. Both are good in their own right. I mean each have two good maps. But what sets EF above AF is that the Euro Team's weapons. When you behold the power of their guns! I mean wow, I really, really,really wish I could unlock those guns for regular BF2. If I could have FAMAS, Benelli, L85A2, HK21 I would be super happy. As it is, I rarely use the L85A1 as a medic, but I love it in EU. And the shotty for the engineer...oh god is it great! And when you are support and have the HK21, you feel like you are shooting some WWII pillbox death device. I love Op Smoke Screen, and China Wall is OK, TQ blows.

And as for AF, well, it is good in many ways. I love the night map concept (midnight sun) but it is not all that, wish they would do it for Sharqi...it is much better then the SF night maps. Harvest is a nice change of scenery, though it is gloomy, and I personally think road rage is gay.

TBH, I think there are way to many infantry whores in BF2 to really see the value of the expansion packs. These are all maps that go back to the roots of what BF42 used to be.

Ok well armoured Fury seems to be a lot more popular and yeh im planning to get Project Reality v0.6 anyway but thanx for yr views on mods.

I like AF.....EF is good (ok, just smoke screen), but i like the maps and the different gameplay involved with AF

TBH I don't really like either, though If I had a gun to my head and had to choose, I'd say EF...

Nothing can beat the Challanger II. That thing just makes me giggle like a little girl...

I prefer EF mainly because I'm primarily an infantry player and I love most of the EU handheld weapons. I'm not all that picky about the maps; anything that's different from the original 12 maps is a good thing. It's true that there are usually only a few populated EF servers (I usually play on =SF= or =SoE=) but as long as you accept the rules and the admins on those servers you don't need more. I never play vanilla BF2 outside of one server (since I'm a regular and can use a reserved slot).

their worth it, not as many servers run those dedicated but they are enough to play them, i think the great wall & smoke screen are the best.

EF is sweet. I loved Great Wall I/O. I played that as much as I could when it was running on a server. Wish there was more servers like that, greatwall is so awesome without vehicles.

The problem is that they shouldn't need separate servers from vanilla since they are not separate mods like SF. Only because not enough people have them do servers not add the EF/AF maps in their normal rotation. Even though I paid for them I really hope EA releases them for free sometime soon.

God, I agree with that! Even though I think I paid $10 for each, I still feel like I got my money out of them compared to how much it would have cost to go see one movie in a theater. If EA gave them away, you would see 24/7 Great Wall servers pop up like you see 24/7 Jbad servers...although I would love seeing 24/7 Smoke Screen/Harvest servers...maybe with some Tampa in there too.

yeh lol guys in the end i saved a lot longer and got both and i have to say there both really good.
EF is great fun with Eurofighters but there is only 1 map with Tiger HAP : ( Great wall is good fun to like u said System!
AF has loads more servers so there is more choice and i am lovin the dumbbombs on the A10s and the LittleBird heehee

24/7 stuff would be great but there is so little of that, however i did find a HBD 24/7 Great Wall today which is really rare but cool

well another thing is I paid for them but that crappy EA downloader and patch order is annoying. I cant even play EF or AF anymore because I had to uninstall them for a minute but when they moved over to EA link it lost all my info on what I had purchased.
