There is a new update posted today over at the Battlefield Pirates 2 (http://www.bfpirates.com/) mod website. Here's what they had to say:
Ahoy maties!! We're back again for another Battlefield Pirates 2 media update to show off a whole ship load of goodies! We'll start this week by taking a look at some of the arsenal of cannons and weaponry that we've already implemented. Be weary mates as these weapons have been "imported" from other countries. As soon as we steal.. I mean.. import more weapons fer ye, then we will be handing them out.
In Battlefield Pirate 2, there are a wide array of cannons. But today we shall be mentioning some of them. There are currently three types of cannons that we wish to show: the 24 Pounder, the 12 pounder, and the Small Falconet.
The Pegleg's 12 lb is a bit smaller and weaker than the 24 lb but still packs quite a punch. However, both the 24 lb and the 12 lb are unique as they fire three type of ammunition of your choice: Cannon Balls, Grapeshot, and the Chainshot. The standard cannonball packs your main explosives. You can switch to the Grapeshot (which is equivalent to a shotgun) or the Chainshot (used to tackle on a ship's rigging or mast) at any given time. Read more...
