love it. i always hate it when tanks are around cuz bullets dont do anything. AT takes 2-4 hits to get a kill and ever since they nerfed the C4, its so hard to take out tanks with C4 except with jihad jeeps! its alot of fun cuz ur somewhat nervous and u hope nothing takes u out b4 u get to thetank and even if the tank kills u first, for some reason if im withint 4-5 meters of the tank, i end up taking out the tank even without setting off the C4. the c4 just explodes or something.

It's great for pissing off tank whores. Warlord is my favorite map for this. The ATVs are extremely hard to hit with tank guns or machine guns, though the driver is a bit vulnerable. If you switch between the Insurgent Hideout and Mosque, where you strap your C4 on, then you can come to the British main base just as the tank whore leaves it.

I actually did it so much to a tank whoring major that he just left the server. It's really funny to see the tank whores with an average 44-1 KDR with a 2-9 KDR for that round.

What really pisses me off is people constantly doing it badly and just loosing tickets for the team. If your gonna do it at least do it right.

Doing it as the US seems a bit odd.

As for tanks having no chance against it, tanks have the same chance against jihads as infantry vs tanks. Its dog eat dog.

Project Reality mod has jihad vehicles, small cars and a truck laden with explosives where your mouse buttons play music or blow the charges. The new insurgents forces have vehicles just for the task.

You cannot get out of a moving vehicle in PR without getting wounded or killed. You cannot aim a vehicle at the enemy, jump out and have it freewheel in before you detonate it. Jihad jeeping takes on a brand new perspective with these changes.

I love it! But i just started tank whoring on Jalalabad and i find it really hard to take out those guys coz halv (seriously) the time i hit those guys with a tank shell but the car takes no damage. Its really annoying coz the car just slides sideways and takes no damage and 2-3 sec later it just goes BOOM

ummm.... im pretty sure insurgents use that tactic in real life at times. the only unrealistic thing is seeing usmc do it. When was this game made for realism anyways.

The best Jihad Jeep is an APC. You can kill infantry with its main gun and other APCs if you use good tactics. Then, when you come up against more than one other vehicle, a bunch of C4 wielding infantry, or a tank, you just ram it and blow it away. The only thing that can kill an APC in one shot is either a plane or two C4s, so chances are you'll get the enemy in time.

Ahh, love'em even though I still can't do it. I was on the IMA server today, and I asked whether Jihad jeeping is not allowed( it wasn't mentioned in the rules). I got no answer and was promptly rammed and blown up two times while in my T-90. Very helpful those Jihadis.

back to the title topic, in the last 3 days that ive started playing again, i would say that 90% of all deaths in a vehicle were due to a jihad. and during most of that 90%, the annoying **** who blew me up died as well. (ok, so the name of the game is fitting), but what i dont understand is why, as many a time they gain 1 kill from it, plus they die. i suppose it saves em having to look for the next jeep to use, as it will respawn with them.

is it really that satisfactory? well going against all that i have said, i have decided that tomorrow i am going to be that guy, im gonna test it and see if it is as good as everyone else thinks it is.

^Not to mention Jihad Blackhawks now. I had 2 Cows land on me while I was in the T-90, it was very embarrassing for me, but it once actually made me the killer ( I had a kill when it should have been the "suicider" hehee).

Still, it made me look like a n00b because my fellow players spotted the BH descending slowly, and I moved in a perfectly predictable way. That made it ever so painful.

especially cool is how you can frustrate them armour whores, and zap enemy morale. it also makes taking out assets that much easier.

another bonus is - when capping a flag, having jumped out your jeep, an enemy nicks it... then...BOOOOM! yuk yuk yuk.

It's a great tactic in situations where armor is rolling up, or defending a position and you have no armor to support you.

Like Wake Island 2007 when your attacking the Airfield you can take the Chinese buggy at the end of the island load it up with 2 other squad mates(one being your SL) and drive down the beach, leave them there come up over the hill and take out the tank much easier and most of the time unnoticed until it is too late.

Or when you have to defend Airfield and the Yanks roll up with a tank from South Base/North Village and your tank is away, or not yet re-spawned you can ambush their tank.

You can bail and let the car roll next to the tank and then blow it so you survive, or you can just stay inside the car and ram it into the tank so it blows up. When the car blows up, the C4 also blows up

Yeah if the vehicle the C4 is attached to explodes before the C4 is detonated, then explosion is increased, I did this with a blackhawk once in an attempt to take out tanks-Simply fly above them then dive and parachute while you watch is detonate above the tank- but a J-10 shot me with repeated strafe attacks and on the final run got too close to me as I blew up and it took him out as well.

I "earned" my expert explosives jihad jeeping. Afterwards I felt cheap and dirty. That was 16 months ago and I have never jihad jeeped since. It is a skill-less exploitative way to earn cheap kills and has about as much class as jet camping the enemy hangar or placing a claymore on an enemy spawn.

Yes, that's right "exploitative". DICE didn't discover C4 ramming in beta testing and have stated this was not the intended use of C4 on jeeps. So theoretically under the ROE it could be classed as an exploit (i.e. Players may not use or exploit game mechanisms...).

In light of this the ROE was amended...

(f) Using C4 explosives on fast-moving vehicles to destroy other vehicles (C4-ramming)

I tried it once during my early stages of playing (where i only made 2 kills per round at most) on wake island. i drove up, no one was there, so i thought :this is a waste so i detonated it. a few seconds afterwards a tank rolled into the outpost

I think jihad jeeping actually adds to the gameplay of BF2, at least on city maps. I don't often play the swampy/naturey maps so I can't comment on that too much.

The way BF2 is without jihading is that a tank can dominate a certain chokepoint with ZERO to little support for a long time.
Now, with this jihad-jeeping 'tactic' as popular as it is, you can't use the tanks like mobile pwn-factories anymore; you have to actually guide them to their destination and use them tactically instead of rambo them across the map.
And I like that. If it is possible for engies to put mines on roads to the back bases, it's also possible to put them on roads that allow people to jihad-jeep the tank. Let's see the team actually protect the tank, like they can.

OMG I did this! It's AWESOME my way!

Put C4 on the boat. Ram the boat into the carrier until it's upright and bobbimg forward, nose up. The boat will continue to travel regardless of which seat you are in, just don't hit the gas. When you are nearing an enemy boat or a tank on shore, either bail to a nearby island or if FF is off, stay in a passenger seat and wait. When ready, blow that b¡tch!
