it depends,i find the pkm a beast at range but for close quarters i use mg36.

If you're truly playing support, covering fire, etc, MG36 is awesome, but if you're lone wolfing and taking pot shots then the pkm is better because of the damage. But the MG36 is a better gun overall.

i never liked the mg36. very inaccurate for me (well thats cuz idk how to use it i guess and i dont hav it unlocked) but pkm for med + long distsance and rpk for short. the rpk is really awesome tho...at cqc..usuall never lose

aye, if only i could get the HK21 and L85A2 into vannila / SF, that would be so awesome!


but from the list the MG36 got my vote because i use it the most (when PLA/USMC/SAS) other then that it has to be the RPK

though saying that i'm getting the hang of the SAW and that has got me some lovely rounds on Iron Gator.

Yeah the mg36 is a really really really good rifle, it has recoil and timing figures similar to that of the rest of the g36 lines (g36c, g36e, g36k, mg36) and is decently powerful. Its accuracy is definitely lower than the PKM and the RPK but it makes up for it in crosshair deviation... the PKM and the RPK both have hella blowback.

MG36 is not the best (IMO). First off is the fact that when zoomed, your bullets hit halfway down the ironsight. Is that ****ed up or what? then it has huge recoil and the deviation is mega-big. The three round burst is cool, but if you want three round burst go M16A2 (sorry, I am a big stock weapons fan :P).

I didn't mean to say its deviation was small. It's just what works for me, and it's got the feel of the g36e, which I like, alot. I dig stock too but I don't understand why everyone likes the damn m16a2... I hate it. I love the stock m4, I love the M24, and even the MP5, but that m16a2 feels like plastic.

I use all stock, hmmm. I like the M16A2 cause it always seems to find people's head when I am in CQC. I just feel safe with that gun.

The nest support gun for QB is saw by far, its fast highish damage when fired in bursts, unlike the rpk you can fire with a very short delay giving you the advantage in small space it really is a very very good gun, however it lacks range PKM is ok but takes a while to fire and is pretty inaccurate the mg36 is also ok but the saw is far far better.

1. RPK- It has a mini aimbot installed in it. Just glance at the person and he is dead.
2. PKM- Also has a mini aimbot, not as accurate, but now have the ability to stand why shooting.
3.MG36- No aimbot, just makes a cool sound and is accurate with 3 shot burst.

I just ignore all the information about "real-life" on that site, but I'm pretty sure the statistics are correct. Unless the guns themselves have been nerfed since the games release.

Anyhow, I've recently been having some really good runs with the M249. That things a beast, I've never realised how quick it mows down people. Still think the RPK edges it though. :D

It's a tie between the PKM and RPK. The PKM allows for sniping (On Sharqi especially), and for me, the hit indicators are constantly on with it on single shot. But then you have the RPK which behaves like a 130 round clipped L85, the first 2 shots usually land on the target even standing up. It's absolute rape when prone with a squad of medics coming down.

I find it best to have the PKM when you need to drop an enemy quick. Whenever I die, it always seems to be the PKM that cut me down. But I just love that fast spray action of the RPK!

i feel that the pkn fires .50 cal bullet since i can usually take down some sucker in 2 shots,and im a beast with the L85 now,had a over 100 point round yesterday with easydelta got a gold star and veteran first aid :D

The rpk is my favorite, it's very accurate and you can mow people down at long range. The pkm is second for me, I find it to be less accurate and has a slower rate of fire but it is a beast and can do some very good work if you know how to use it. I don't ever seem to be able to hit much with the MG36, though.

The 5.8mm shell of the Chinese Type 95 was deliberately designed to cause more damage than the 5.56mm shells of guns like the M249 SAW, after many years of proof that the US' 5.56mm shells were often not powerful enough to neutralize an enemy infantryman.

BF2 however is just a game: it has a wholely different set of weapons from those in the real world.
