BF2 Patch v1.41 Issues

I downloaded and installed Patch v1.41 from the EA website, but when I tried to play it stayed on 1.4 and I could only join the few servers that were still on 1.4 and not 1.41. Then I tried uinstalling BF2, then installing the patch, but still nothing. I even tried restarting my computer after installing BF2 and the patch.

Any help would be appreciated.:)

Mine won't even update! un-installed and different sourced. strange.
