Tried this for the first time today despite have the clients downloaded and installed, and what I can say is what a blast! Its so unique and fun, really brings the very much needed fun factor back to the genre and I'm literally verbally laughing whilst playing.

Yeah, PR is the Charles Manson of Mods.
PR kills all the mods upon release, then it dies down, then a new version is released and its killing mods again.

na, PR dont kill any release, if you look at the stat graphs you will see no other mods are effected by each PR release, other mods average peaks etc still stay arounds the same, the thing that kills mods is vbf2 stats, pure and simple.

Finally downloaded played it a week ago; one server populated (with rounds that went on for ever :s ), shame as I diddn't think a mod this different from the rest would die down so much.

Yea, its awesome fun with full servers, a real shame. Im sure the next build should grab a lot of players tho.

It's sad that nearly every mod for Bf2 is dead nearly on release. There are only 3-4 survivors with a solid number of players. It's really a shame, because many mods like pirates or EoD2 are fun to play.

Played BFP2 today, with like my brothers and dad gathered to watch the fun and i have to say is was great fun to play. Loved everything really. Really beautiful.
Played abit later different map and again beautiful.
But played it with some of the =TFA= clan and that ruined it for me because i killed them a few times and t-bagged them pretty good.
Then one of them switched to my team and constantly team killed me everytime i spawned, ultimatly looked for =TFA='s website but they thad no teamspeak or ventrilo so i can ask why they constantly attempted to teamkilled.
So if they any of those =TFA= member reading this go to ATG's ventrilo so we can have a chat. (www.alltogethergaming.com).

Thanks for the kind words guys. I dont think PR or any other large mod killed Pirates. It was largely our own fault (some bugs, old community with poor gfx cards, infrequent news releases, etc), and its also difficult to compete with the stat collecting mentality of the player base.
I think all mods do better when there's a lot of advertising via word of mouth... Most folks that play our mod really like it, so if you have clan mates you play with then maybe organize some playing time together when our next release comes out. The #1 complaint is lack of players for us - so you guys can all help by giving us a try at release to help build up a community that will last, and then go back to whatever other games you like afterwards.
